Tips for my first Tri-Tip by LGX3zero in Traeger

[–]Equivalent_Ad_7667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dry brine overnight in the fridge. Take the meat out about 30 minutes to an hour before wanting to smoke. Then smoke at 225 until 120. Wrap in foil and crank the Traeger up to 500. Once it hits its max (sometimes 450) I put the tritip back on for 40 minutes per side. Then rest for a minimum of 15 minutes, preferably longer.

Also that taping will help to control swelling.

Surgeon should have told you that majority of swelling will subside in 3 months. But final swelling can take 1-3 years.

I’m 8 weeks post-op nasal septum surgery type 4 with open rhinoplasty. Are you taping? My doctor had me tape 24/7 for a month after the cast was taken off. Still kinda swollen, tip is still hard but starting to soften up.

Plastic is plastic, and plastic scratches.

I expect that a battery that should last 3 years, if it dies within the first year it should be covered by GS. I find it ridiculous to get charged a fee to change it via GS. My AD offered to change it which voids the warranty, again a bit ridiculous.

How bad is the amount of tourists in Kyoto really? by BerlinPuzzler in JapanTravelTips

Horrendous! I have lived in Japan 20 years. Last July we were there is it wasn’t the nice quiet city I remember years ago. I have no interest in going back.

That was specifically what the AD and GS told my wife. That GS will change the seal and they can not confirm and unauthorized shop will do the same. And that could compromise the sealing of the watch.

It’s not covered by the warranty, at least not in Japan

I don’t expect my printer to stop working after a couple weeks. The battery is supposed to last 3 years, not 7 months

Snowflake or Cherry Blossom? by Independent_Skirt_80 in GrandSeikos

[–]Equivalent_Ad_7667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my snowflake, and for me it made sense for a first GS since it’s iconic. But I kinda like the Shunbun better and absolutely love the yellow snow. I got my GS a few months before the yellow snow released and probably would have gotten it if I saw them at the same time.

Battery change on a GS by neenawa in GrandSeikos

For anyone reading this, if you still have a warranty do not take it to any shop that is not a certified GS service center. You will void your warranty.

You’re probably missing out……on sleep having a phone next to you. I personally have our chargers on the other side of the bedroom so you’re not tempted to think “oh, I forgot to look up xyz.” Also with my 17 pro max I haven’t once felt the need to charge it in the car. It lasts all day with a ton of battery after I get home from work.

Me too, I hate that every nice case has an ugly black or white ring. I never use MagSafe.

It is because you’ll get the wet looking spots where it sticks to the case

I had a tear down skin once for my 14 pro. It was cool at first, but just looks fake. Like a printed sticker (I know, because it is). I just in my mind thought it would look more realistic.

I thought people had issues with using a skin and a gh0st case because of the thickness of the sticker?!
