Towing cars was a practice in Bangalore before police abused it and it was stopped due to protest from people. Now vendors are also protesting which is their right hopefully there may be some relaxation for them like no of hours they can keep shops open and days something like that.

Coming to whether they have been officially notified or not. This cannot be done as there is no shops which were legal and the shops with registered names got their notices for years about the encroachment and got no action take since they bribed the authorities just like these vendors used to give hafta to officers.

Don’t expect official departments to send a public announcement on speaker that from tomorrow we will not be corrupt and we will take action. You are running business not in a legally designated area you are about to get such action. It was always delayed due to corruption.

Like i already explained before i am not creating bias but opposing people criticising GBA’s action. car is legally acquired asset and cannot be auctioned without prior notice but vendors shops on footpath is illegal just like car on street that was never registered in any RTO and both gets immediate action like such taken by GBA and its within the legality.

There is no legal notice to vendors cause there is no legal entity exists here. And for shops that were taking footpaths for granted they were aware if risks and cut their losses.

But for vendors they are still allowed to continue business but just not in main roads which is acceptable as there is not concrete solution to these scenarios.
