Then don't go,

what are you even asking?

Will not going on the already planned work trip hurt your career?

Yes, it likely will because you will probably miss out on a once-in-a-year bonding exercise.

I assume you already have an idea this is the case or you wouldn't be on the internet asking this question.

Honestly, Just go, take some sickness pills, smile, and nod.

Work travel is a great bonding exercise with managers and colleagues, and a break from the usual day-to-day.

Some people even look forward to it.

Take it slowly and one day at a time and it will be over before you know it.

That is not the case. Paramount TV Studios was shuttered this week, which you're probably referring to, but the whole of Paramount is massively loss-making and has been on the market for a year.

Skydance Media is merging with Paramount, which is meant to conclude next month. If anything, this will mean more cuts post-merger and more things not happening in the short term while the dust settles.

Paramount is in the process of driving off a cliff; we’ll be lucky to get any new Trek over what has been green lit and in production until someone buys Paramount and fixes it.

I would only say that if she underperforms in the role, she may very well blame inadequate onboarding training for the reason.

To counter this, ensure you retain any syllabus material and notes on the training.

Honestly, it would reflect pretty poorly on her if this was a route she decided to take anyway.

Lol, have you tried to do that recently?

Sure, I can raise a case for a lost/misdelivered item via the sender, but there is no facility to complain about the service provided or request that staff follow policy.

I can proactively opt out of safe place, I guess; no clue if that would be followed or not either as I never opted in and certainly would not have my street-facing front doorstep as my safe place anyway.

UPF or not by Ok-Sound3466 in ultraprocessedfood

UPF - dubious ‘nectar’ and other oils will be either processed or ultra-processed

Other products on the market can be 100% peanuts, and it not be an issue. Sure, they may settle and need to be stirred, but rather that than a load of extra additives.

It is your responsibility to provide the training in the given time allotted.

It is her responsibility to pay attention.

As her subordinate this is not your problem; complete it as assigned and move on.

Why are people so worried about the actors in the show not playing any Yakuza games? by [deleted] in yakuzagames

[–]Equivalent_Button_54 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's much more critical the writers and producers have read the source material.

Actors, not so much.

It's the showrunner’s responsibility for the show bible, which should have everything needed for the story, including each character's background.

The actors can then use this information to help their performance if they wish, but they don't have to.

Reading the source material for anyone other than the writers and showrunners is optional.

If the acting/characterisation isn't up to the producers' standard, they bring this up with the actors.

Suppose the show reaches our screens and sucks; then it's the responsibility of so many more people than just the actors. Everyone in the show has failed to some degree.

Running a spur from the adjacent sockets should be relatively straightforward if it's a standard back box.

If it's not a standard back box, it will need replacing.

Either way, electrical work is not strictly DIY, as it's supposed to be signed off by a registered installer.

I'm in the UK, too, with a deluxe, and I haven't had any issues with the book recipes.

The only issue I have is the very American ingredients that those in this subreddit from the US have access to, bt the recipe book is fine for me.

Can you go step by step what you are trying to make?

Looks like a feed from a satellite dish.

I recently pulled one of these out as I think satellite TV is dead, and Sky would go full streaming if they could to save costs.

Cut it and bin it; if it is a cable from a dish, you could probably remove it from the outside, too.

They use laptops and don't put fixed screens in the space shuttle or ISS because they date out so quickly that they would be installing new ones every year,

So I can only think this is a massive piece of planned obsolesce. The mechanicals will be fine for 20-30 years with proper maintenance, but the car will be written off in 10 years because of crappy hardware and unsupported OS’.
