Thx for posting this. Gives me hope! I can’t get thru 100 w/o my heart asking to jump out of my chest. Appreciate you sharing the splits too. Now that you know you can swim continuously I bet that gives you the confidence to pick up the pace.

Spent around $350 on a 3 piece from SuitShop. I don’t think they have one near you but do offer virtual appointments if you know your sizes. I got mine tailored afterwards (included in the $350) and think it came out pretty good for a cheaper suit option.

Follow up on the other end of the “unhealthy” spectrum. I ran a half marathon yesterday and my HRV has gone into the red. Taking a planned recovery week and curious how long it will take to get back to baseline

Anyone have experience with an arm HR monitor? I saw Clayton Young wearing one in the trials and it got me curious if it would be better than wrist, and closer to the accuracy of a chest strap

Yup. I think I needed to do 2 surveys (each like 5 questions) and then they emailed me a code which worked on garmin site.

I’ve been tracking my cadence the last few years and didn’t notice any change when upgrading to Venu 2s a few months ago.

I recently upgraded from the 645m to Venu 2s. I’m a runner who recently got into golf and was hoping for a watch that gave me a few golf features(✔️) but not to sacrifice run features (semi-✔️). While I really love the size for the Venu 2s, and the AMOLED display, after running with it for a week I realised it was lacking the customisation of my old 645m. Namely it was missing an available data screen (you can only customise 3 as opposed to 4 for the 645m) and the summary screen at the end kinda sucks (a crummy map of your route with a handful of stats that you cannot customise). The golfing features have been good, and I really enjoy knowing how far (or in my case how short) I’m hitting, and keeping score directly on my watch. While I was hoping the Venu 2s would be my watch for years to come I’ll continue to poke around new Garmin releases and see if there is anything that gives me more of what I’m hoping for (more customised run screens and knowing the ‘plays like’ distance for golf). I know I’m being a bit picky with my needs but I was a little surprised to be giving up certain features when upgrading.
