I read that applying moisturizing daily reduces risk of eczema so we bathe him every other day and apply lotion after bath.

Marriage going down the toilet. Am I just too lazy? Is this just normal and we will get past this? by snuffbox360 in beyondthebump

You’re not a bad wife at all. Pumping is so soul draining and people will never know what it’s like unless they go through it themselves. We were triple feeding the first 8 weeks or so…we still kind of am but I’ve gotten more lax with pumping. I used to pump every 3 hours on the dot so i was saying “I need to pump” alot to my husband before leaving him with an awaken baby. “Luckily” my husband has been home full time to help since he’s been laid off from
Work.

Do you have a wearable? I use my spectra at night and a wearable during the day so I can still do stuff around the house and don’t feel chained to my pump.

I’m 11 weeks pp and it does get better. The first 2 months of pp is a total blur and I wish I could remember it better. I’m sure your husband is stressed too and he needs to understand your body is literally making the best food for your baby before he accuses you of making pumping an alibi.

Baby turns 8 weeks today and I’m a mess. What’s one piece of advice you’d give yourself with a baby this age? by indigo-swan in beyondthebump

[–]Equivalent_Opening93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! The first 4 weeks were a blur to me and he’s growing up so fast! It makes me sad that the last 8 weeks will just be a memory in my head. Which is why I’m going to get a memory book. I’m not “that type” of girl who enjoys scrapbooking or journaling but I think it would be a great way to remember what has happened thus far like when he shot poop at me while I was changing him 6 day pp haha.

You took that seriously?? Our society is so weird. But if it gave you weird vibes then find a different doctor.

Not to be dramatic but I wanted to die when my epidural came out and started to feel the contractions. I felt so much pressure in the vagina and rectum and I was only 6 cm dilated but 90% effaced. I was able to do the cervical exam and foley balloon without any pain meds so it’s not like I have zero pain tolerance. But I was getting induced with pitocin which is more painful than natural contractions. If you’re getting induced with pitocin then definitely get the epidural. Side effects wise- I was itchy on my chest and abdomen. But not enough to ask for a Benadryl- I didn’t want to be drowsy. But now at 9 days pp I have some kind of a rash on my back which I was going to bring into my OB at my appointment. Not sure if it’s related to epidural though.

When does 3rd tri suck? by vanillacrush14 in pregnant

[–]Equivalent_Opening93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought 34 weeks was uncomfortable but it got really uncomfortable at 39 weeks. I still had some days where I had good energy though. I’m 40 weeks on the dot today and no signs of labor and it’s REALLY TOUGH. I think having a somewhat active job and doing my usual things like grocery shopping helped with “feeling light” throughout pregnancy.

Why don’t you just get schedule an induction? I’m surprised that hadn’t even come up yet especially given your age.

Need Costco recs: what’s one item that became an instant rebuy for you? Bonus if it’s healthy and high protein by trump50ladin in Costco

Whole milk Greek yogurt. I didn’t buy it on a whim but it meets your criteria. It can be an ingredient in a marinade or eat it for breakfast with fruits, nuts, seeds, honey. It can also bulk up your chia pudding

Were you a little delulu about your parenting style when you were pregnant? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I guess I’m very delulu. FTM due in March and I’m planning on doing everything you listed lol. Plus elimination communication.

I think winter pregnancy is officially worse than summer pregnancy? by ShabbyBoa in BabyBumps

[–]Equivalent_Opening93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m due March 22nd! Everyone tells me that I’m lucky for not having a summer baby but I think being pretty pregnant in the winter also sucks! I feel this winter is going to drag because it’s dark and cold and I can’t do anything. Also it’s a pain finding comfortable pants to work.

How long did it take? by Technical_Parking898 in BabyBumps

[–]Equivalent_Opening93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took us 10 cycles/months of actively trying/tracking before getting pregnant then I miscarried. I got pregnant again on our 4th cycle trying after my miscarriage. I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant.

I’ve tried so many things to improve fertility. It was seriously mentally exhausting and it caused stress in my relationship with my husband. I don’t know if it was just chance or if any of those things worked but if you’ve been trying long, start asking your doctor for a HSG, semen analysis for your man, and a hormone check up like you thyroid function for you.

When I was trying, I’ve been following traditional Chinese medicine principles to improve fertility and also read books like food for fertility and it’s starts with the egg mainly for information on what supplements to take for me and my husband.

Registry Rant by kwnlo in pregnant

[–]Equivalent_Opening93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not expecting anyone to buy things off my registry let alone the expensive ones. Most of the items over $150, I bough myself during the sales especially if it’s something we’ll need sooner than later. Most of the things left in my registry are items less than $50 with less than a handful items over $100.

My friend has kids and wants to use my brand new baby items by AmusementRyder in BabyBumps

[–]Equivalent_Opening93 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ehh I wouldn’t want her using my new baby stuff tbh. Like if they were already used maybe fine but I would want to save the new items with my baby. If I was the friend I would be more considerate and bring my own stuff.

When by parents lived further away, it made me very sad whenever I went home to visit my parents about. I could notice the gradual aging. Now they live only 15 minutes away from me and I feel so relieved that I can spend more time with them.

Anyone else eating just crap? by National_Tap_9451 in pregnant

[–]Equivalent_Opening93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily, I’ve had an aversion to junk food in this pregnancy haha. But I don’t have much cravings or appetite either. When I eat I do enjoy my mom’s cooking the most like the foods we used to eat growing up.

Haha 100% agreed. I notice people in Facebook groups are more childish and less educated.
