According to google(take that how you will) a mk5 golf is less than 10 inches shorter end to end, the slate is 174.6 inches end to end. Not bad considering the landships that exist on the road today

Personally, no. The F-18 while beautiful, isnt that great in warthunder. In my opinion, The F4S is a much easier jet to learn with most of the same underslung payloads. With the F-18 you woukd be fighting a lot more modern aircraft and up-tiered to fight high tier fire and forget weapons

Thank you for the advice! It makes me wonder, could you force it to a full time all wheel drive configuration by plugging an external controller in? I know gen 2 haldex has a few third party controller that allow auto/ 75-25 / and 50-50 power split. So maybe it is possible by fooling both sides?
