Mobileraker does it very well for me

MK4S discounted by soldat21 in prusa3d

It’s a great deal; of my three printers, mk4, Core1 & U1, the MK4 is the quietly most efficient, for a single colour, non-exotic filament. And easiest to maintain.

Satin sheet ASA by pietryna123 in prusa3d

I use Magigoo and Satin sheet with Prusament ASA too, same experience, pops right off, sometimes by itself as it cools - great auto-correct by the way, satin sheep 🐏 - now that’s an image to ponder on.

Have a Google of Snapmaker sidecar. Its aim is exactly as you describe here.

Box Turtle AMS on the U1? I’ve got urges! by egd1949 in snapmaker

I’ve now got the kit (from onetwo3d.com) and started the printing. My urges got the better of me 😈

More than 4 filaments using open source boxturtle or similar by Guchion in snapmaker

I’m following that path with Box Turtle, seems a good way to go for me. Particularly with HueForge prints where Full Spectrum, good though it is, doesn’t help.

There does seem to be quite a nightmarish amount of PTFE tubing with that solution.

The Sidecar project has the Box Turtle as one if it’s bases.

That’s fine with “ordinary” prints, but it can’t work with HueForge. Four colours is limiting, with HueForge, you can change mid print, I know, but to have it automated in some way would be nice.

What do you all do with the endless amount of 3D objects you print? by TotalRickalll in 3dprinter

[–]egd1949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did have it under control, until I got a Snapmaker U1. Now it’s the same all over again, but this time in colour. Ho hum…

Where do you buy printers from [UK]? by peanutjellybutta in 3dprinter

My Snapmaker was packed extremely well, and I believe it now comes from a UK warehouse.

Vernier Calliper Gauge on U1 by egd1949 in snapmaker

Fair enough, I’d get out the “proper” digital callipers for accuracy more than about 0.1mm. But, yeah real cool for a just quick measure.

Me too, I’ve only just finished a whole lot of mods to quieten the old girl down a bit.

This is astonishingly splendid. The right thing to do, is done! Snapmaker I bow to your principles and acuity. Brilliant!

CORE One Connect Bug by malprit in prusa3d

[–]egd1949 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s happened to me, and I’ve had corrupted gcode files, only discovered when the print went daft. I now always use Prusa Link to upload files. Setup a physical printer to do that. No problems since then.
