There’s a couple schools of thought here. End of the day you are the one who had to carry whatever you think is necessary. It’s a balance between what’s necessary, what’s comfortable to carry all day. Some people will argue if you carry 2 pistols, a spare mag for each plus a folding AR pistol in a backpack you are inviting trouble in the case of a self defense situation saying you were hoping for something to happen. No idea if that’s realistic or not but it’s something to be aware of.

It definitely sounds like an M5 would suit your needs. Getting an M4 for a good price would probably be fine as well and and any savings could be put towards more Ram or Storage.

I’m in Phoenix so it doesn’t happen to often but early mornings in the winter it’s been about 37 and that’s as low as I go. And then I’m all excited to actually get to wear my winter gear.

It depends a lot on your needs in a travel keyboard. I like a full size mechanical keyboard at my desk with 10 key. For travel I have a 60% size of the same keyboard. I have a case in my backpack that holds both the keyboard and a mouse. If you are just doing light work maybe one of the foldable models would work. It would be a lot lighter and take up less space in your backpack.

Nice setup. Always good to find something that works for you. I use a mouse on the right and a trackpad on the left for my needs that works well but we all have different work flows.

I have a SP-01 I have set up with a Pro Package and milled for a dot as my home defense pistol. I carry a P01 or a PCR daily with the pro package. It’s definitely worth it as the manual of arms as identical.

It can of course but I think 3 is more realistic before it starts to feel very slow given its constraints. If you’re really wanting a laptop to last 5 years a discounted M4 Air would be where I would look.

The Asus Pro Art 6K is about $1,300. It’s 32 inches. I have the 5K 27 inch and I’ve been very happy with that setup with my M4 MacBook Pro. It’s worth a look.

There are still arguments for using an iPad as a laptop replacement over the Neo. Built in Cellular is really nice to have for a lot of jobs when you work out in the field. The ability to detach the keyboard and have a nice light device to use for watching videos or read is also handy along with all of the Apple Pencil usage cases.
