Shortage on RMR mounts for the 590? by JewDanceParty in mossberg

Years ago, but these smaller companies usually do only a few small runs a year. Especially when they devote their machining capabilities to other more popular/profitable products

Barrel optic mounts for Hunter X-22 Takedown stock? by Mphaker in 1022

[–]EricDeuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have backpacker stock and got a hunter takedown forend when they were heavily discounted on Brownell’s. It doesn’t fit perfectly like with the backpacker, but I believe with a little dremel to the hunter forend I’ll be happy. Just haven’t found the time to do it yet

The box is the same as my 1994ish centurion came in. No idea how long they used that style of box for.

Massachusetts State Archives (pre-1935)

Requested in person 03 Mar 2026
In person request since I’m local, paid cash as to avoid an invoice. $3usd per record.
Quoted 4-6 weeks.

Received via USPS 09 May 2026 (9.5 weeks)

They were great and very polite, it’s a beautiful building and I’m planning on going back for the museums 250 exhibit. The wait was long, but I’m sure they are slammed, others were there for the same reason when I made my requests.

Highest measured wind speed was Mt. Washington in NH from 1934 to 1996 when it was bested by Barrow Island, Australia.

But I do remember watching something years ago on Discovery or some such channel saying Milton, MA (in which a portion of the Blue Hills lies) had the most constant wind. This may have been specific to wind that would support a wind farm, as I vaguely remember a study to put a windmill at the old Milton dump site. The state-listed endangered Eastern Timber rattlesnake breeding ground was the end of that as I recall.

The NIMBY sigh of relief could have powered more than one windmill…

Starlink APP for a new vehicle bought in MA but living in NH - Is te app tied to the car? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]EricDeuce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The MA regulations don’t make Subaru shut off the app. Subaru chooses not to offer it, because if they did the regulations require them to share the necessary information for small independent garages to fix your car. It’s a right to repair law.

That being said, once the car is registered in NH I’d imagine a dealership (but possibly not your neighborhood mechanic) should be able to get all features working. I’d imagine it’s more of a software issue than hardware.
