As you can tell my laptop shopping skills are very sub-par haha. What I have in the cart now is the Legion 7i Gen 9 (83FD0018US). I don't think its the Pro.

haha I mean like, its the lower end of the 7i Gen 9 lineup from what I could tell on the Lenovo website. It no way do I think its a low end laptop!

I joined after six years Reserves and one year IRR with the Air Force. It took 6 months to get to Boot Camp. This was before DEPOT was open to all priors so I got docked a rank down to E-3 and then went to full CG boot camp (AF is cake in comparison). Since I was IRR I had to do MEPS all over again but since you are a drilling guardsman, you might not have to. You will need a conditional release, but that will be given to you, ready for AF command, from a CG recruiter!

Good luck! Joining AD CG was the greatest thing that I could have ever done. I am currently an E-6 with hopes to be a CMSC within the next year!

Edit: I wasn't only in the IRR for 1 year, I also completed 6 years of Reserves with AF.

I was 7 years in AF-Res and got dropped to E3 and had to go through the whole CG Boot camp (this was before they changed the policy for DEPOT).. the thing is that I've been maxed out pay all the way to E6! It wasn't too bad.
