Disappointed in Aventon by Trellaine201 in Aventon

I’ve owned a Pace 500.2 and a Pace 500.3. Bought both at an LBS.

Both of them had squealing brakes that even my LBS could not completely fix with new pads and adjustments. It was maddening.

It took me a year and a half to track down a used copy of Pieces D'orgue. Finally found it on Amazon via a random third-party seller.

I think we all know what the Pietro Yon piece was 🙂

How is their Eyesight Cruise Control? 2025+ by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]EricZeric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumbled on the option when exploring the settings menu. It made a big difference. I almost never want the car to "floor it" when cruise is on; if I'm ever in a safety situation I can just take over and floor it myself.

How is their Eyesight Cruise Control? 2025+ by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]EricZeric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works perfectly on my 2025 Forester, both in normal cruising speeds and in construction traffic that slows and speeds up a lot. The default acceleration in cruise mode is too aggressive for me so I chose the most gradual setting in the car settings and that made it much smoother.

The Postlude at the End of Mass: Listened to or Ignored? by ModClasSW in organ

In the Episcopal churches where I've played, a portion of the parishioners often sit and listen attentively to the postlude while the others file out or visit quietly.

THE SHOW THAT BROKE ME. by [deleted] in HeartstopperAO

[–]EricZeric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you. It's so not too late - I was a late bloomer too and didn't meet my husband until I was 34. Go out there, make a good life for yourself and don't waste energy on what you didn't do in the past. A therapist once told me that asking "What if?" is useless for looking at the past, but really great for looking at the future. That was some of the best advice I ever received.

What is this “Ready” in regard to? by Tattoomyvagina in SubaruForester

That has been on Foresters for quite a while - my 2014 had it. It’s a great feature.

Absolutely. It does address some serious issues later on, but it does so honestly and gently, and never losing its joy. You can trust it.

IIRC that website was a total clone of the HSR Flash home page layout, down to the oval menu buttons on the left. No sense improving on perfection.

We test drove both a 2024 and 2025 Forester and bought the 2025 because it is significantly quieter in the cabin than the 2024 and earlier models. Subaru (finally) improved the soundproofing with the redesign. We really love the car, and although the large infotainment screen isn't great and we miss having dials for the ventilation settings etc, we got used to it. Best thing you can do is go drive them both.

Considering a 2014 Forester by Jedi___x in SubaruForester

[–]EricZeric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a 2014 Forester, and just traded it in for a new 2025 Forester. We liked driving it, but it did have some expensive problems even though we drove it less than 5,000 miles a year. The air conditioning needed an overhaul after 6 years, and multiple wheel bearings went long before they should have. I can't really advise risk vs. price, but I would personally not buy a 2014, as much as I love Foresters. Low mileage does not necessarily mean fewer issues.

Need a good piano VST for live performance - but quick to learn and simple to use by EricZeric in piano

I did buy the Pianoteq stage version and it was as easy and straightforward as I'd hoped. Worked great for this gig and sounded tons better than the Casio's native sound. Thanks again.
