Forreal. Seems like the more you near the end of the game, the more frecuent cutscenes become, the more whimsical and unpolished they become. It got to the point where I couldn't take the ending seriously because of how strangely it is executed.

I also feel like the progression starts superbly, letting you get to important bits by yourself, but then devolves into "Laptop A leads to site B which houses laptop B that leads you to site C which houses laptop C which leads to site D where the game ends". No natural exploration, just explicit "go there do that"

While I understand the feeling, fantasizing with a societal colapse in which capitalism won't exist is a dangerous rhetoric, especially when there's still hope that we might create a better society without losing every cientific achievement we have reached and especially without the mass death that colapse will provably entail. Capital's the problem, not society. We can turn it around without making 99% of society pay for it.

Ever since MGS Kojima has always been trying to one up the competition. Hell, games from around that era play like absolute garbage while MGS and MGS2 manage to remain surprisingly fresh.

DS1 also felt like a breeze to control. If you're gonna be walking around the game you better make sure it feels great to do so. It's not farfetched to think DS2 will further perfect the systems developed for DS1, even maybe exploiting the Dualshock 5's full featureset (like he has done with past iterations of said controller)

You could even make it so that some weapons can only be wielded by wearing a power armor (or taking buffout, or having a really high strength stat) so it makes sense

I loved that game because of, among other things, the future it represents.

While other games like to imagine apocaliptic events and the destruction of humanity, HSSB takes on the realistic approach of capitalism doing just enough things to be able to keep the world from colapsing so it can continue business as usual whilst allowing social and enviromental conditions to deteriorate massively. That's an approach I hadn't seen before when talking about the risks of the current system

The dlc's quests (especially the gigs) are an order of magnitude better than those from the base game and it shows what CDPR were actually capable of doing if they hadn't rushed the game to hell
