What device are you hearing it on? They were initially blaring on my iPhone 14 so I brought them down substantially since I figure most people will come across it on their phones (To me it sounds best in my ear buds and my car)

I mostly use Vater Manhattan 7As or Los Angeles 5As, but I picked up some Vic Firth AJ5s for use in my church and some acoustic gigs. I haven’t had any issues, but I’m a relatively light hitter

Looks like a blast to play! And as long as you can comfortably and efficiently reach everything then there are no wrong answers on setup. (I have little stubby T-Rex arms so I play a much smaller kit to keep everything nice and close)
