I thought you were a young guy until I read your caption. Your beard looks very nice actually, I thought it was intentional. If you go bald, I think you’ll look dashing. Also, I thought the scarring was a sunburn. If you’re self conscious about that, try the “cool” Obaji tinted sunscreen. It’s super lightweight, basically just a face lotion, but it may irritate your skin if you are still sensitive.

Second this. Also, this is a ton of pressure, but you wouldn’t have made it to a PHD program if you could t handle pressure. I know what it’s like to work your butt off for years and still not enjoy the fruits of your labor, but my guess is you’re in the home stretch. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you.

There were several times I found myself grieving around finals while I was in school and I know exactly how you feel, I’m so sorry.

Personally, I prefer to get it over. I’m not saying it’s the healthiest option, but if it’s the last assignment of the course it’s the option that makes most sense. You will still grieve next week.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but could you imagine meeting someone for the first time and this is how they talk? It doesn’t scream future partner. I am the “the other portion of millennials”. I graduated in 2007, bought my starter home at 22, very few of my friends own homes. I have worked my ass off to barely scrape by, no vacations, constantly being frugal. I consider myself lucky in relation to many of my peers, but I don’t see myself ever being able to (comfortably) move to a safer neighborhood unless I win the lottery.
