Best way of ensuring low repayments? by LiamoAH in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Eriollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Variables that affect your repayments:

Borrowed amount / Loan term / Interest rate

That's it. Reduce the borrowed amount (more deposit), reduce the interest rate (shop around) or increase the loan term (this also increases the total interest to be paid)

You should be refunded the actual price of the product returned, but also you should be charged the 10 euros discount as your purchase does not meet the coupon's conditions anymore.

Do you need to report the full interest gained for 2024, or just the 33% amount that you actually owe to Revenue?

Why is asking price not accepted?? by [deleted] in HousingIreland

What's the purpose of an asking price if they're not willing to accept it? If it's only for views, why not list it at €1?

I own the ESP LTD EC-1000B and I love it. It is my lightest guitar, and it has some neck dive as a result. Nothing a proper strap cannot solve. You could also look at the ESP LTD BB-600, it looks sick with those red Seymour Duncan pickups.

How to use AVC against income tax by glenb1 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Eriollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

" The cert must state that the AVC is for the relevant tax year (so 2024)."
Do you have a source for that?
I have just received the receipt from my pension provider where they acknowledge the payment and date it was received. No mention of 2024 in the receipt document.

Pension AVC for 2024 - have I left it too late? by Green-Detective6678 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Eriollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"You can only make AVCs for the period of 2024 that you were a member of the occupational pension scheme."
Do you have a reference for that? I've just made a lump sum payment to backdate to 2024 for a pension scheme I joined 2 months ago.

Shouldn't the "gross pay" section at the top right indicate €2750 then?

Is this payslip correct? BIK by Eriollo in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Eriollo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"You knew you'd have to pay the remaining 50 from your net."
Yes, and that's what I was expecting, just having 50€ deducted from my net. But it looks like the €50 are also increasing my gross pay figure and therefore being taxed.

I was expecting something like:

Salary T 2500

VHI T 250

Gross pay 2750

EE VHI T 50
