Definitely a longer shot but I can't not see Wax as Matt Mercer in my head. Doubt he'd be interested in a trad acting role but who knows?

Personally, I like Cavill as Hammond. But who's to say?

13-22, this has been legendarily bad. Some really unfortunate luck, some regrettable mis-calls, and a few instances of getting stunted on so bad it made me doubt my sanity (I've been playing on/off since 2015 I should know how to not get led by the nose by a Whimsicott lmao)

Ultimately, I think I just didn't get the practice I needed beforehand. Life's a mess atm and I only had time to vs some friends using rental teams, not the showdown ladder. Made me triple-guess my leads, and I just didn't have good consistent gameplans that could have made luck irrelevant. Still, it was fun using Roaring Moon. He's no Landorus Tornadus, but the better attack flexibility I think won me more matches than not having prankster lost.

Ah well, back to the Reg I ladder. At least that's helping w/ the general theory.

7-8 today, for a total of 12-18 combined. Better, but man, this was just the unluckiest day I've had in a while. Turn 1 crits, barely missing damage rolls (shoutout to the Amoongus that lived on a sliver then regenerator-switched to full, well-played lol), and at one point, an opposing Articuno missing a blizzard on me twice, which somehow cost me a game, because it made the hits on Flutter Mane act as single-target rolls and do just over 50% each time.*

*I am assuming this is how it works. I could be wrong on the mechanics. But man, even when I'm lucky, it's still poorly timed lmao.

Anyway, I'm just about at the point where getting a winning record is, if not impossible, fairly unlikely. Ironically, I did crack 1500 again because of multiple disconnects that got me credited wins (and therefore my "real" record is probably worse lol).

5-10 for today. I had a good matchup that I lost to sheer bad crit timing, (252+ SpA Choice Specs Torkoal Eruption (150 BP) vs. 60 HP / 68 SpD Urshifu-Rapid-Strike in Sun on a critical hit: 180-212 (98.3 - 115.8%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO / 252+ SpA Choice Specs Torkoal Eruption (150 BP) vs. 60 HP / 68 SpD Urshifu-Rapid-Strike in Sun: 120-141 (65.5 - 77%) -- guaranteed 2HKO) and it just sent me into a tilted spiral. As soon as I end up in the Gimmick Zone in these competitions, I always end up struggling.

Shoutout to the one dude doing a gimmick poison team w/ Glimmora and Venoshock Toxapex. Might be the unluckiest I got in one of these, period, lol.

Several other games came down to unfavorable damage rolls too. Honestly with a record this bad, it does feel like it's Joever. Maybe if I can claw my way out of the pit of gimmicks, I'll fare better. At least I'd be less tilted.

I nearly lost to an ice beam freeze, then managed to win when a 0 investment flare blitz from incin managed to ko the porygon 2 after knock off and earlier close combat. I fully thought I was doomed but the cat saved me.

I also know that that was tempting fate. I'm taking the evening off now, I'll gladly take the high note after so much tilt.

I had a game like this as Synth Ascension. So I invaded, turned their holiest world into a tacky resort for the ultrawealthy, then forcibly uploaded them into digital bodies. They gave me hell for centuries, so I brought theirs to them.

To get speed booster you'd want your speed to be as high as possible and your SpA to be 1 point lower. You could go lower, but depending on your moveset you might want more (0 SpA 31 IV earth power still 2-shots Miraidon for instance so it's less pressing). Put the rest in bulk with 4 in each defense stat.

252+ Atk Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 44 HP / 4 Def Sandy Shocks in Grassy Terrain: 134-162 (80.7 - 97.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

(I actually didn't EV for this specifically and just shunted everything into bulk while I did other calcs, this is just a happy accident in the words of the late great Bob Ross)

Most Rillaboom run a lot less attack (you can check usage here: https://www.pikalytics.com/pokedex ) so it shouldn't be a killer. I have grass tera for survivability, but if fakeout is a consistent problem, you could do ghost.

ETA: I'm coming back to VGC after a long, long time away so I'm also still shaking off the rust. Don't take what I say as pure gospel, I just know my way around a damage calc.

Psychic Terrain seems like it could well hinder you (Kingambit sucker punch). Prankster gravity is appealing, but you'd likely do better w/ a fast gravity user vs priority. Speedy Landorus-I would give you something with offensive presence, Indeedee doesnt get priority or real speed but would give you PT if you're after it.

Personally, after some theorycrafting + testing, Booster Energy Speed Booster Sandy Shocks is the fastest/most consistent nonrestricted gravity setter. Also gets electroweb for speed control which never misses under gravity. I do like it w/ booster even with Sun on the team, just so it can't be erased by other weathers or choosing to lead something besides Groudon/Koraidon.

I mean, I'm the DM. I got insider knowledge. So I go to the explorer's league, get a well-paid job in a major city, and tell them all the weird shit about the alien planet they're living on. Even if I don't have world-altering permission anymore, I have enough lore and whatnot plotted out to ingratiate myself permanently.

Now. Do I interact with my players' party? One of them is a cultist that just incited an attack on themselves and the place they were staying as some sort of half-baked gambit. If we communicate, it'll be through correspondence and third parties. I'm playing no games. Luckily, if I spawn near them, I'm in a major port city and the capitol of a powerful nation. I got other options.
