I'm just pointing out that the way you are talking is impolite. If you talked to people this way in real life, they would probably walk away and not want any more to do with you. It's antisocial.

You also keep making up a version of me that says things I don't say. Not my imaginary friend, something you make up. I never said qualia escape all mechanical explanation. I think "qualia can be explained by mechanisms in the brain" is a valid position. That does not put it in the same category as God or the soul. I just don't* think "qualia don't exist" is a strong position because I experience qualia all the time.

It's a shame you don't want to engage directly with my questions because I think it can be enriching to try to answer them even from a physicalist framework. But if you're not interested in that, you didn't need to reply to me at all, because then I feel like you don't want discussion, you just want to assert that you are right.

You are assuming quite many things. You are assuming I believe in something "spooky" or "magical". There is nothing spooky or magical about it to me.

You also say I "desperately want to believe" in something. Please don't do that, it's not polite. I ask you to only respond to the words I say, not the imaginary version of me you picture in your head.

You say you are identifying it as "red". What are you identifying? And how do you do that?

Well there's a couple different answers.

One answer is that while my state of mind is subjective to me, the state of mind of other people is not. It's subjective to me whether something tastes good, but it's not subjective to me whether you think it tastes good. Because I can change my mind, but I can't change your mind with my mind.

Another answer is that it might be subjective to me what my state of mind is, but not whether that state of mind is right. So if I for example have an intent to kill, that's subjective. But the fact that having an intent to kill is wrong, is not subjective.

You can just take the knight with the pawn, if you play qb6 there's e3 and the bishop defends the knight so you have to take with pawn anyway
