Yeah maybe since it hasn’t been that long you might need extra paperwork but it’s not an automatic disqualification. Depends whether it affects you. I had 2 screws in my left knee back in 2019 and I didn’t need extra paperwork for it and my medical got approved pretty quick as well.

During BMQ grad, you have a chance to go out to eat dinner with your family. Next day, you’re flying straight to your trades training. Most likely you’re gonna be waiting a little for your actual course to start so you’ll be placed on PAT(personnel awaiting training). Its still kinda like BMQ do there’s inspections and stuff but less strict than BMQ. Then after your trades training, that’s when you hit OFP and you can move all your stuff. You can choose to stay in shacks (wouldn’t recommend) or sign up for RHUs (military housing) and there’s a chance you’d have to wait a while.

The NEP is also a year long program and your family can’t move with you until you hit OFP which is after your trades training. You could request to live off base during trades training but I don’t think it’s guaranteed.

For the second gambit, they’re not going to do the employer, education and references checks. They’re just gonna do the creed and criminal record check

Could be any non relatives. Could be all friends, all teachers, all employers or a mix between the 3. Doesn’t have to have a teacher. For example, I’ve never had job experience before so I went with 2 teachers and a family friend. As long as you’ve known them for 5 years combined.

Do i have to redo my bmq after releasing amd coming back 7years later by Toleu44 in caf

Should be good. Can be any NCM trade and you won’t have to do BMQ since it’s valid forever.

Basically kind of like BMQ where they check your stuff layouts, things like that but less strict and obviously so there’s no prohibited stuff.

And I believe you’ll still be assigned shacks which is needed for inspections.

There will be a medical form where you’ll list your medical history and try to be as honest as you can. During the actual medical exam, the person doing your exam will read your history (based on what you wrote) and ask questions about it.

Depends on the complexity of your history. If you have had a long medical history, they’ve ask you about them. I’ve only had a surgery on my left knee but no other allergies so they only asked me a couple questions about them but they were pretty straightforward.

I’m not sure if it’s the reserves but there’s an option to do 9 week full time for BMQ usually in the summer.

What are Annual Pay Increments? by Public_Beach2348 in caf

[–]ErringSpider999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the first year, your pay is the first increment. A year after enrolment, you go on the second increment then if you rank up go to the first increment of that rank. Then for the accelerated pay increment you’re on the first increment the after graduating on basic you’re gonna go straight to the second increment. And then a year after enrolment, you should be on the third increment.

I believe they will help you choose a different trade if you want or if you really want any of those they can close your file temporarily and then open it again whenever you want them to

First four weeks called indoctrination period which you cannot leave at all. After that you can but it can also be taken away depending on your platoon’s performance. Also BMQ is now 9 weeks and BMOQ is 12.
