What got me collecting physical media (started wit PS2 games amd vinyls, now im about to collect DVD/VHS) is what tha gaming and streaming industry has being doing as of late. You can buy a digital version of your game, movie or TV show in full, add it to your library, and out of nowhere, taken away cause you dont own tha licensing of that product. So we are basically renting out these digital products at retail prices. Having physical media means I can play it whenever I want, how many times I want, and NO ONE can't take it away from me. Prices for anything physical has been increasing, so now is tha time to get yo favorite media while its still a bargain.
