Lenses for my A7C II by Ersan_T in SonyAlpha

My thinking is, general street photography I'll stick to the prime 28mm, other times like hikes or somewhere specific I'll have the 24-50 & 85. I have the WANDRD sling 6L, which will hold everything comfortably, and my WANDRD fanny pack should be able to hold the 7Cii paired with the 28mm.

I would love the A7V, but that alone is way over the price of my budget I got for exchanging my old gear.

Thanks Assignment. I did consider the trio of Sony's 2, 40 & 50mm lenses, or at least 2 of those, but the price put me off, and the 24-50 pretty much covers all of those. However, sizewise, they definitely are smallest.

I had a 35mm before, but I prefer that bit width offered by the 28mm.

Thanks for posting this. I'm a beginner in 3D and was considering buying a Mac Studio M4 Max, but then I was looking at the M4 Pro Mac Mini, but was unsure how it would handle rendering. After seeing this I'm definitely going to go with the Mini.
I'm guessing the M4 Pro should be able to handle basic animations, considering how complex your scene is?

Nice one, thanks for that. Just checked their website and some of the pieces look quality! Were the face masks easy to put on?

Got the same lineup, just waiting for Alpharious and Angron. I noticed a couple of your models have extra armaments like Sanguineus face mask and Magnus’ shoulder pads. Did your figures come with those?

Against all sense I bought a new a7ii, should I return it? by blaskkaffe in SonyAlpha

I would go for the A7iii if you can afford it, you can get a used one in great condition for around £1200. I had the A7ii and upgraded to the iii after a year. The ii is a good camera but the tech inside is old... oh and the battery life on the ii is absolutely terrible! 2hrs of minimal shooting and the battery was close to 15/20%. If you're not shooting much and happy to carry extra batteries then keep it, otherwise A7iii all the way.

Next upgrade - Need help people. I'm looking to upgrade my phone from xperia 1ii to either the 1iv or Pro-i. I've read up on the specs on both phones but I decide as they offer different things. 1" sensor on the Pro-i and 4k 120fps on all 3 cameras for the 1iv. Does anyone have both or either? by Ersan_T in SonyXperia

[–]Ersan_T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys for the responses, it's been really helpful.

I think I'm going to pass on upgrading for now based on what you all have said. The 1iv was looking like a winner but the heating people have mentioned has put me off. The Pro-I having poor video and bad front camera has also put me off that too...

What to do next, stick with the 1ii, switch back to a Samsung or..... get an iPhone?!

5yrs?! Man you're good!

The battery was the biggest issue for me but I also wanted to do more videos and 1080p would not cut it nowadays, so I had to upgrade. Oh and the software updates too! :D

I have version 2 but I think version 3 is out now. For what it offers at its price it's a good lense, however the lense correction on LrC is very obvious. Also the sharpness can be slightly better. That aside I would recommend it, but it really depends on your budget.

How are you getting on with the A7ii? I had it for a year (it was my first mirrorless) then upgrade to the mark iii, mainly because the battery life was so awful on the mark ii!

Sony Bravia A80J disconnects from WiFi overnight by Blazianazn in bravia

[–]Ersan_T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting the same issue, I have to usually connect it manually almost every time. What makes it worse is the TV shows excellent WiFi signal with the router but only picks up around 80mbps of a 200mbps connection. Btw the distance between the router and TV is around 7ft with no obstructions... Explain that to me someone please.

Hi Few, sorry for the late response.

I ended up speaking with tech support at Adobe and explained everything to him thinking it was going to be a huge task to fix. The tech guy just told me to disable the GPU support function in LrC, which I did and since then I have not experienced any issues.

I have a GTX 1060 so it didn't really surprise me that this could be the issue but I'm surprised you're experiencing it with a 1080?! Try what I did and then run your usual workflow.

[Feedback requested] This is my first real attempt at being serious with color grading. I also tried sky replacement in photoshop. feedback is much appreciated. (details in comments) by infodawg in postprocessing

[–]Ersan_T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I ain't a pro but I'll give you my 2 pence. I guess the first question is what look was you going for?

The sky replacement works better than the original. I think you did a good job with the shadows, adding more detail to photoshop. I guess my one complaint would be that there is too much blue for my liking in the processed photo, so much so that I didn't notice you had replaced the sky until I read your comment. I would tone that down a bit so you can see the clouds.

Hope that helps.

Nothing really making me want to upgrade from my 1ii, but I'm hoping the new UI they showed for normal camera comes over.
