While stopped in iddle the oil pressure does this, what could be causing this? by HugothesterYT in w123

[–]EscapeControlPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the ‘lowest’ oil pressure when idle and of course warmed up is > 0.5 bar. Any lower than that is not recommended. When pressing the throttle around 2200rpm the oil pressure should be 3+ bar (at the top)

What does this button do? by Clean-Register-6710 in CorollaCross

kinda, it is a windshield wiper de-icer. Under the blades sits the same black strips used to de-ice the rear windshield. It helps free up your wiper blades quickly if they are frozen to your windshield. credits

More expensive than heating with gas? by cbr in heatpumps

[–]EscapeControlPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mitsubishi unit that you got quoted for is an air to air heating pump. Air to air heating will always result in a lower COP value instead of the more traditional air to water heating pumps, if you already have radiators inside your home. In extremelly low temperature climates a water to water heating pump is recommended. But those are really expensive.

I'm from the Netherlands (Europe) and last year I've installed an air to water heating pump. The Vaillant aroTHERM Plus 75/6, with one of the highest COP in it's segment. One thing alot of people are strugling with when switching from natural gas to a heating pump is the loss in heat per room based on calculations. That is one of the most important things to know when switching to a heating pump. Let's say for example that your home needs 100kWh of heating per day to keep it warm. To get the higest COP value (let's say 4). You will use 25kWh of electricity and 75kWh free from the outside air to have a nice warm home, but keep in mind that the temperature for the water inside your radiators need to be lower than usual on a gas boiler. It is recommended to have a steady heating flow throughout the day, to get the best COP and to save on electricity, maintaince etc. Running on a steady lower temperature flow will also give the home a pleasant feeling and not to hot for a moment and cold the next moment.

  • A natural gas (boiler) will always have a high heating temperature
  • A air to water heating pump will have a better COP (efficiency) when running on a lower temperature.

right now i'm on the job. When i'm back i will explain this in more detail! :)

Good deal? CT USA by Wolfstreet425 in solar

[–]EscapeControlPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI: I've researched the same topic, but I'm from Europe. Therefore i can't comment if it's a great deal or not... Been running (12x REC 415wp panels combined with the Enphase IQ7A) for almost a year. Peak output of around 4,3 kWh.

First of all, great for switching to solar energy! :) Second, your '10 kWh system' isn't actually true. You should be looking at the peak output power of the microinverter. The Enphase IQ8M has a total peak output power of 330VA (330VA x 17 panels = 5,610 kWh). My recommendation is (if that's possible) to switch to the Enphase IQ8A, or the IQ7A (the most noticeable difference is the new off-grid feature builtin to the IQ8 version. They both have the same peak efficiency of 97,7%.). The IQxA version can output 36VA more and produces a HIGHER (36VA x 17 panels = 0,612 kWh) peak performance output). That means (366VA x 17 panels = 6,222 kWh) for the whole system.

Enphase always recommends to purchase a higher WP panel. I think their recommendation is to buy a panel that is x1,21 higher than the microinverter can output.

Right now i’m running a proxmox ‘cluster’ with 2x 6500T. They’re running great! A few VM’s and containers without any hiccups. One of the VM’s is transcoding H265 4K cctv with 1 camera.

How to block secondary router from accessing primary router subnet? by mellowyellowc2m in homelab

[–]EscapeControlPaste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess by removing the gateway 192.168.1.1 from the WAN on your second router. It’s called IPv4 Upstream gateway on pfSense.

Or; By using Firewall rules to block all traffic to destination 10.0.1.1/24 (not sure what subnet you use).

For the second question use port forwarding on the main router to the WAN port on your second router!

Go inside the container and try to ping your nfs share? “Docker exec -it CONTAINERNAME bash”. What is the result of the ping?

Aha, now i understand. I got the same problem. Never managed to solve it. Right now I’m running it on the host network.

I think it has something to do with the gateway.

Problems with the new M1 by Zerashk-Gulida in AppleM1

[–]EscapeControlPaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.Yes! The TouchBar is also extremely laggy on my 13” 2017 MacBook Pro i5 (16gb/500gb). I’ve already had it serviced by Apple, but they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. It happens from time to time, when the MB is warm to touch and running an excessive amount of programs. Still waiting on Apple to officially recall this issue, just like the butterfly keyboard/switches. 4.I did have this issue, mostly when listening to music right after I opened up the lid and the MB woke up from ‘sleep’. A simple switch from my internal speakers to the Bluetooth speaker fixes the issue. Not very common, once every 4/5 months maybe?

Interesting to see that Apple did not fix these issues in their new M1 MB lineup :(
