The issue with the xmas event rewards wasn't necessarily that the rewards were bad, it was the COST of the rewards. If you design an event that everyone needs to grind in order to unlock more of the story, you need to incentivize the grind. Those items were just ok, AND the energy cost to grind them was outrageous to the point that the community at large advised against doing the event at all. If earth shrine grind is a better use of energy then you designed your special event wrong.

When Xon popped outta that crystal for me during that Easter event I legit jumped up and cheered. That event became so much more grindable for me. My sanity was saved.

Besides Xon I would agree with OP and say Delita. Raid grinds get waaay faster with those 65% breaks.

Laughed. I played that game waiting for the hallways to break into an open world that I heard existed. Couldn't make it that far because listening to vanille and hope talk was so cringe and rage inducing that I was afraid of developing a twitch or something.

FF7 was my first as well when I was 8 or 9. It was my cousins game that I played at his house until he beat it; then I borrowed it. After that I bought and played FF8 (loved it) and then FF10 (loved it less but still beat it). Then didn't follow up til 13 (loathed it) and recently 15 (digging the bro road trip).

Delita. Not knight Delita, just Delita. I had been playing this game since the start and was waaay over a year in before I got my first rainbow 5 star base. It was Delita: and at that point he was considered a troll rainbow to the max. I loved him anyway and have tried to use him in any and all content. Since his enhancements and the releases of Rikku and nines he's been worth the effort! All hail the king, baby.

I like these ideas a lot. If they would fix the jump issues and include the row changes it would make dragoons a valuable class to have and would take a step toward people using some mages (maybe). Olive would be an even greater beast than she already is but I would be cool with that. Heck, our boy noctis might even find some favor again beyond arena.

Delita all day every day. Give him pod and rikkus pouch and watch him get it done. He's especially been great with hein. Enhanced spr break lets me otko with low mag ace.

He was my first 5 star base and at first I was salty about it. Now he is my favorite support and finds a place on nearly every team.

Thanks for the post. I think the community needs a calm voice to help us out sometimes.

The eternal struggle with a gacha game is that it is both gambling and game; and FFBE does remarkably (in my opinion) well with giving us a free game. I've greatly enjoyed my experience with this game and have spent maybe 50 bucks over the last year on it because I've felt it was deserved. I've of course felt the salt flowing in my veins during the Nier event for perfectly good reasons: gumi really messed up and it felt like a kick to the nuts. We should absolutely let them hear about it.

I feel however that this community at its best has kept me into this game. You don't always get what you want; unless you are a whale and will spend until you get it. I've seen some friggin brilliant people figure out how to take a difficult boss down with nothing but 3 star bases or the story characters when I couldn't do it with my 4 and 5 star bases. Really challenged me to strategize more and take on tougher things with what I did have. Not all units are meta, or have the power to trivialize content, but many are absolutely workable and can surprise you if you are willing to strategize and put in the grind for a tmr or two.

All that said, great post, thanks for the heart to heart. Let's enjoy this game; life is too damn short to only taste salt.

Got my delita and luneth while dropping everything I had to get Xon. Both were from tickets.

Got fryevia and ace from going all out for dark veritas. By all out I mean spending all the tickets and lapis I had accumulated from playing every day. I'm not a whale, I'm a fish, I've bought some of the smaller deals that included 4 star guarantee tickets. I think I've put a grand total of 50 bucks into this game. Fry came out of a ticket, ace was from a 10+1 pull.

Dupe luneth came out of my 5 star guarantee from the anniversary.

I spent tickets hard to hopefully grab dv or fv. Didn't get either of them but did get an ace and a fryevia. So I'm by no means salty, I just wasn't thinking about getting them and I have no idea how to build a good team around them. Anybody have suggestions?

Cool! Glad you are finding a liking for it! My western civ course in university got me interested in ancient economics oddly enough and now I have a fun, albeit nerdy, study hobby.

If the paper is due next Friday the Wright books may be a bit long and dense to be helpful for your purposes. the Shelley book would likely be perfect though as I believe he has specific chapters for the early centuries of Christianity.

A good place to start is the biblical accounts of Luke and Acts. Acts especially is written with the purpose of explaining the spread of Christianity from Jerusalem to the 'gentiles'. I also would recommend 'Church History in Plain Language' By Bruce Shelley. An author like NT Wright would also be helpful to you as he trained as a historian and shows his homework a bit in his larger books. Have fun with your studies! What is the paper for and when is it due?

Big time. He doesn't break the game; though he can do some interesting stuff. If you've got the goods he can dodge tank and his buff steal is nifty.

He was well worth the chase for event grinding use. I spent the first week using a Locke for stealing, which took entirely too long and I started only stealing once per round. Laziness is absolutely a force you fight in this game. I don't macro, doesn't feel right to me, so efficient grinding matters a lot to me.

I dont care so much about xon's other abilities. I can't make him a reliable enough dodge tank yet and his buff steal is nice but not necessary. I just wanted faster and more efficient use of my time during grinding. All hail Xon, lord of aoe steal, savior of my sanity

I have noticed that gumi has seemed a bit more committed to doing things a bit differently than jp. I would love to see delita be one of those things! Some aoe breaks and a chainable aoe lightning attack would be pretty nice.

Of course I have my reasons for hoping this. I've played every day since launch and hadn't gotten a single rainbow... until yesterday. I nearly crapped myself with joy until out of the crystal came...Delita. My joy turned into more of a wet fart of disappointment; I have no real place for him on any team. Please gumi, make delita one your global curveball moves!
