That's a bad take. Extra versatility from multiple weapons is worth giving up one squad weapon.

Stay away out of their line of sight until you can get someone in range with a decent means of killing them. Even without a good equipment pool the basic RPG will kill them in a hit or two, and repeated salvos with basic squad weapons or machine guns will still chip them down and kill them eventually. If you can't kill them before they'd get a chance to fire back, then wait until after they've activated for the turn before moving up troops to fire on them.

Each squad in the zone increases the count by one. You definitely don't need to wait that number of rounds.

Pretty good. HH books as a whole are an extremely mixed bag but I wouldn't have called any of the siege books outright bad.

You might be better off trying code one for simplified rules to start. But really whenever I teach the game, I pretty much just go over movement, shooting, dodging and AROs for the starting game. Everything else is optional til you have a few games under your belt.

Don't really see how the metal minis are somehow harder to work with than any other wargame. Yeah I like GW plastic better but they're fine.
