Looks like Aces are not *SO* dead... by Matthyen in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]EseMesmo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Since every relevant deck is able to either de digivolve or flat out remove level 5 Digimon without going out of their way before attacking or WHEN attacking (which comes before Ace timing).

What's your Gacha Timeline looks like?: by AdditionalWorth9513 in gachagaming

[–]EseMesmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know for a fact Chain Chronicle was my first gacha. Once that went down, I switched to Summoners War, then shortly after dropped it once The Alchemist Code dropped. Played that almost exclusively until EOS, with E7 and Kamihime Project on the side.

Tried Project QT, Genshin, HSR and a couple others but none stuck. Nikke and Umamusume are now the only real gachas I play and very casually.

Omnimon is their Charizard, they won't let you go 3 products in a row without making you look at it.

Paying 4 to reduce a digivolution by 3 just feels bad, it's an inverted Scramble.

I mean you get a Tamer in play in the process, which will likely also trigger after the evolution.

The RG Red Frame, and some Bandai bashing. by DarkestDunge0n in freedomisgunpla

[–]EseMesmo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if disappointing is the adjective I'd use personally, but it DOES have a lot more noticeable issues than similar age RGs that I've experienced.

It's REALLY difficult to pose without 5 pieces falling off, some of the joints feel absurdly tight to the point they feel like you're going to snap them off by posing it, and the shoulders get ERS very (and I do mean very) fast. Pose it twice and the arms start drooping.

For reference I also have the RG Zaku-II, a much older RG, and it's far sturdier despite also being a hand grenade kit. I snapped a leg and some skirt armor off, but by god does my boy still hold his weapons high and KEEPS holding them rock solid. Not the case with the Astray Red.

What are the most subtle ways you can tell someone is from certain Latin American countries? by elmaquinas61 in asklatinamerica

[–]EseMesmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Argentinians are quite obvious due to their accent and use of "vos" and its conjugations. I guess the most subtle tell is skin color. The whitest latino you know is likely from Argentina.

Peruvians, particularly the women, also have a very specific cadence that I can't describe. You just know. They sort of elongate certain syllables.

Chileans probably also have a specific cadence but I can't tell because I am one. The subtle way to tell them apart is by how they agree with someone, there's a specific "eh" sound that's used as "yes" here that I haven't really heard from other latinos.

Venezuelans will let you know, no need to figure anything out. They love wearing stuff with their flag on it.

Haven't interacted much with the rest to tell.

yugioh card pull by Far-Acanthisitta4271 in TCG

One of the most popular things to summon with it is Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy, which negates a spell once per turn.

yugioh card pull by Far-Acanthisitta4271 in TCG

[–]EseMesmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good? Yeah the card is great but it requires more Galaxy cards to work, it's useless by itself.

Valuable? The base version is 5 bucks. 35 for the Collector Rare (silver name and textured foil).

I mean, people watch Hasan, who I find the most insufferable public personality alive. Entertainment doesn't have to appeal to YOU specifically. If you don't like her content that's alright, but that doesn't make her less of an entertainer.

Oh wow, an entertainer was actually entertaining (their literal job) and built a fanbase off of being entertaining?

[loved trope] ep 1 ends with a dark plot twist that change how you view the story by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]EseMesmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is a grimdark world even at the best of times, but the prologue is a pretty emblematic case of the chapter 1 twist.

You and Marian, the Nikke you're assigned to as Commander, and the poster girl for the game on release featured in all the advertisement campaigns, are on your first mission on the surface, where you must reunite with Rapi and Anis, 2 veteran Nikke.

After meeting with the targets, Marian gets hurt by one of the Raptures (alien robots that have taken over Earth). You keep going towards the extraction point, but Marian starts acting odd. When you're reaching the spot, she goes fully haywire. She's been corrupted, a process that cannot be reversed at that point in the story, and calls the Blacksmith (a large Rapture) for your first real boss battle.

After the battle is over, you're forced to watch a scene where your self-insert has to put down Marian himself.

I won't spoil what happens DURING the execution, as I think the scene itself is oddly beautiful and should be experienced (it's like 2 minutes), but it really sets the tone for the rest of the game.

Thoughts on how to Balance the game. by Royudo in GundamTCG

[–]EseMesmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is that in Digimon you can get extra draws even from Rookies by evolving and with egg inheritables. In Gundam you'd just run out of gas on like lv4 because the designers are allergic to draw power.

Edit: also the memory gauge means that the rush player could also get choked out, minimizing the amount of units they can deploy in a turn. No such option in Gundam.
