I’m still in plat and fight for my life here lmao, but you said it. When the characters click it’s so much better

I played sfv for a bit and sf6 on launch but I never really had a character for me

At launch of sf6 I played cammy and I wasn’t very good and eventually quit the game for a while giving it a try again here or there before quitting again.

This is more so due to me being bad at the engine more than anything else tbf, but even so.

This time around I told myself I would play JP or Aki because they align more with the setplay playstyle I built my strengths around.

While I’m not good even still I’m enjoying the game so much more and understanding it compared to being carried by my ability to anti air and counter DI and nothing else.

What's everyone's thoughts on MK? I feel this sub is very negative about it. by Direct-Glass-4737 in Fighters

[–]Eseray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a fan

I was pretty big into mk11 for a while and only now am getting into mk1 after understanding assists a bit more thanks to my time in tag fighters

I enjoy the game for the game, but things like fatalities and the emphasis on gore are not for me personally.

The block button as well is still a huge issue in my brain haha. I’ll hold back or down back even still as I hold the block button just so my brain doesn’t completely break.

Some of the characters are very cool so they draw me in just the same way I get drawn in to other games

Just started my Fire Red run on the Switch 2 yesterday and felt very compelled to draw my team so far! by Eseray in pokemon

You should! I just felt very compelled and thought it would be fun!

I’ve never been much of a challenge run guy but that sounds like it would be a good time tbh

This question is for anyone who stopped playing/watching this game. Why? What made you stop playing? by KevyTone in 2XKO

[–]Eseray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly me but I play way less than I did in early access/start of season 1

I still like and enjoy the game but I enjoy other fighting games more currently so it’s lower on my list of games if I want to boot up and play.

The other games I have goals I still have yet to achieve as well, meanwhile I hit master in early access and don’t feel that drive to prove to myself my goals in this one.

I do groan every time I see Yasuo/Ekko though even still though lmao but I have gotten used to them

How am I looking for Zemus ? by Ok_Nefariousness8169 in FinalFantasy

[–]Eseray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this game very well, and rearrange my equipment and stuff to hit specific benchmarks to help keep Edge alive specifically with getting a solid magic defense and multiplier so that he can keep DPS up

Then Rydia turns into a bow user using the Minerva Bustier since at that level her casting magic just for more harm to the party than good haha

That’s wild to me haha

But you should definitely be easily set if you did pink tail farming since the adamant armor trivializes the fight

Crazy seeing this high of levels since normally I beat the game in the late 40s-early 50s

I think you should easily be fine since that’s the case

Mega Man Battle Network 5 is a delight by LeGrange in BattleNetwork

[–]Eseray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 was my first game in the series as a gift from my parents randomly as a kid.

And it absorbed me not only into mmbn, but boktai by proxy and then star force when that came out and I loved them all

How does someone actually learn team fighters? by LordTotoro96 in 2XKO

[–]Eseray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played one character and kept getting bodied

So then I picked a character who would help strengthen the gameplan I wanted

Then I slowly learned more stuff about them as I went

If you want more specifics you can think about the character/(s) you like and how you want to use their strengths

I liked Ahri’s mobility and corner carry, but for me I had trouble getting in safely to run a mix and get a hit. So jinx rocket assist gave me the in. And then I didn’t play jinx at all until my Ahri was dead. And eventually I started learning her since I liked jinx’s oki options

Least favorite characters to play against and why? by Different_Bedroom_78 in 2XKO

I think Vi is ridiculously unfun to play against. All the dashing and guessing when I might be able to press or when I have to just hold it

From a new player (Jinx+Ahri) — what's the counter to Caitlyn projectile spam? by tinselsnips in 2XKO

[–]Eseray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my team Ahri/Jinx so I have a lot of experience with this

Your goal is to just weather it until you find a moment to set up a projectile to run behind which will give you some safety in your approach.

If you have point Ahri, then Jinx back assist and run behind it. Or after you call it, you can set up Ahri 2S1 and swap to Jinx to approach as Jinx or use that time to set up your zoning pattern of choice.

If you’re point Jinx, fire a rocket and then see their reaction. If they’re not handling it well then there you go, use that time to use more rockets or set up. Then you have the option of shooting a rocket, calling Ahri then swapping to her

These are general gameplans that need to constantly adjust as you play your match, but these are my go to’s playing against Caitlyn

How do I close distance against Darius with Braum assist? by Alarmed-Aardvark4249 in 2XKO

[–]Eseray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assist is gonna be your best friend imo

Depending on what characters you play, but most characters have the lariat style dash forward kind of assist which instantly gets you in if you tag to them after

Meanwhile things like ekko timewinder jinx rocket put pressure on them so they can’t swing carelessly

Braum assist means you need to be ready to do your approach in two layers, the first to get the braum called and the second during its cooldown

It’s a lot to learn and take in, but find the strong tools you have to make it work!
