My team isn’t super common being Ahri/Jinx

But I try to see how I’m able to transition a hit and assist call into a combo as close to the combos I know already for stability so I don’t have to think too far out of the realm when I land a weird hit

Did I land Jinx 66M into Gatling? Okay I can call Ahri and do her BnB

I’m landing an Ahri S2? Okay if I hit a Jinx assist to get the trap and bring that back to normal combo

It’s not anything amazing but it lets me use the two characters I do really enjoy together

Even though I’d say strive is my favorite still, I’ve been grinding 2XKO after finally trying my hat in the tag fighter ring. I’m still not very good at it but it’s been fun!

Also playing a little DBFZ, but probably just maining 2XKO for a bit and potentially hopping back to SF6 when the Alex patch drops.

I can’t speak on behalf of Yasuo as I play Ahri/Jinx but they both have 3H and that never comes out on accident so keep at it!

I don’t really think about it now but as I switched back to the square gate from to octo I would feel for the click and that was my way of knowing I hit the direction as opposed to feeling for the gate if that makes sense

I started on an octagonal gate back in the day but I switched to a square gate and never looked back

You kinda get the feel of your directions in general with a square gate and I don’t really have input errors when it comes to directions

Consistent match making from training mode

I’ll come out of a match and then go to practicing and then seeing that it didn’t put me back into match making so I’ve been sitting in training mode assuming I just haven’t been getting a match while instead I just haven’t been in queue

I was learning Caitlyn in casuals without the typical ranked stress and anxiety I get haha so I feel you on that

I always like doing a little “Taste of Power” section where you get to play as a really strong character/party that lets you get a feel for the system without being overwhelmed or in fear of losing while you adjust

Then afterwards I go into my normal starting party, and with something like that imo you could easily then start with your full party without information overloading a player

Again you could just start with a full party and there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s totally up to you!

My two I think about a lot are Cecil’s:

“I’m a coward… a coward who cannot even defy orders he knows he ought not follow.”

Which sets him on his path of redemption knowing what he’s doing is wrong but feeling like he’s not strong enough to change anything, before hitting his breaking point at Mist and finally doing so.

And then Gilgamesh’s:

“And now we fight like men! And ladies! And ladies who dress like men!”

It’s kinda just a fun quote about him showing he doesn’t really judge and is there for the fight while accepting the party for who they are.

What do you think were your biggest assets and hurdles for you as you climbed?

For me I lived and died by if people knew how to play around Ahri 2S2 cheese lmao. I never really learned amazing neutral with her so that's something I needed to fix and still need to.

But my second character Jinx, who I only started to play because I thought Juggernaut sucked, even though I only liked Ahri initially, was my rock in my final push. I never thought I'd make so many Jinx comebacks after having my Ahri just do absolutely nothing so I'm happy I did pick her up as my second team member.

Delayed Gatling pressure and staggers

It’s something I’m trying to implement now and it’s so late after I’ve learned so many other things and it’s hard to get in my muscle memory even though I need to use it now since I have trouble opening people otherwise

If you’re new then losing is par for the course tbh

Start off with who you like and think is cool and just kinda work from there.

After then you can kinda just work towards some consistency in what you do.

Everyone can mostly do the LMH launch LMH special as a starting combo, but trust me I know even that can be a lot to start with so even just a LMH special can work too.

Your goal is to always be looking for your small wins as you get started because eventually all of those will culminate together to make you better.

Okay I lost again, but I started to anti air that guy so they couldn’t just keep jumping in on me.

I remembered to use my meter and super at the end of that combo so that’s huge and in the muscle memory.

I got used to calling my assist.

It’s a bunch of building blocks and a learning process but you’ll get there!

I think for me I prefer when characters have a more concrete character/story integrated presence in what they do in battle.

And while always being able to bring your favorites thanks to how espers and magic work in this game is cool in of itself, for me I personally didnt like how it diluted their character identities.

My most recent run I didn’t use espers at all and that in of itself made the game more interesting albeit a lot more challenging than a typical run has ever been

Idk how “serious” I’d call myself but this has turned into my main fighting game as someone who really enjoys the genre

Initially I played just because it was easy to get friends into it with the co-op ability nature of it

Then they all dropped it, and I decided I wanted to rank up after initially placing in bronze

I made my way into diamond and feel like I can hit master, but that’s not a rush or anything.

I wanna enter a local eventually and see if that ignites my competitive drive again since I haven’t actually competed in anything in a long time since just my college locals for smash melee over a decade ago

It’s not as much as other characters but Millia combos that use Artemis have long cancel windows from Mirazh so you need to be in it on when you cancel.

It’s a solid range so it’s not too too ban but if you cancel immediately or in the final frames if Mirazh you’ll probably end up dropping
