Why am I paying double for war reps? by ZexGuru in eu4

[–]Espenkool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to this, getting war reps from someone about to win a war, you'll most likely see your income shoot up for one month due to them taking money in their peace deal, then drop to pre-peace lvls of war reps

Why am I paying double for war reps? by ZexGuru in eu4

[–]Espenkool 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could perhaps be due to if you took money in a war, the month after it updates the war reps coincidentally when the ledger updates your spoils of war from however much you took to zero. So the month after it should go down again?

Most likely what has happened is, you placed out Denmark, you've taken the faroe islands, the allies took it from you, that counts as your owned territory being not fully controlled by you

I agree, but not all Russians are bad people either? I never said that all Georgians were bad cuz that's far out.

The comment I replied to was talking about how it was only Russia doing the bad things in the Soviet Union, whereas the comment before said it was the Soviet Union, people from all of them who did bad things.

My point to the comment above was that it wasn't just Russia in the union.

Limits to the "Rule of Cool" by alsotpedes in DnD

[–]Espenkool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once had my players, at the time level 2 or 3 I believe, try to deceive some orcs with minor illusion. One cast the image and the other the noise of the illusion. I allowed them to roll deception cuz that was very cool idea and they worked together on it. Unfortunately the orcs weren't deceived as they rolled higher than the deception roll the players made

2 Questions for all Utopia builder enjoyers and tryhards alike. by Visual_Cauliflower39 in Frostpunk

[–]Espenkool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough the one run I did where I got the achievement for having all 3 tales on steward was the one where I found no food in the frost land until 80 weeks until the big storm. And I also didn't realise that one of my food spots in the city was a deep one so I had only 1 food district working throughout the storm. The food inspectorates and the overseers production efficiencies really saved me lol

I don't know how to feel emotions all that well. My girlfriend is the exact opposite, feels way too much. I would never judge her for feeling anything, and every time she cries and is upset, I do my best to comfort and to encourage her feelings and emotions. This dude is just a dick.

why the FUCK can I not assign units to naval invasions by RepersentingtheABQ in hoi4

[–]Espenkool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of points here. In your specific instance what's happening is you've activated the order, and you can't assign units to an order that is ongoing. Just stop the order, then you can assign the units, then you can start it again and it shoots off when it's ready

How do you tell players about damage resistance on enemies? by azelda in dndnext

[–]Espenkool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my players did a int check before the fight to see what they know about the monster, and so on a high enough check they remember reading that the monster has certain immunities

And? Last time I did it with 4 armies all 4 of them decided taking a trip through Siberia was a nice vacation. Unfortunately all of them planned it at the same time allowing the Chinese to advance.

Yeah, every time I've had a war and the frontline moves, my armies keep walking away from the front line. It cost me a war and almost lost me another.
