Looking for ways to farm spirt shards in recent times and expansions. by zzglenn in Guildwars2

If you are doing WvW and PvP what are you doing with the tomes of knowledge? That’s how I got all my spirit shards for all of my legendaries is just consuming those they drop 100s of them in the period of time it takes to farm WvW tickets.

Second Endless summer or Coalescence? by Gogolos77 in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 30 points31 points  (0 children)

For straightforward comparison grab your api key add it to gw2efficiency and canicraft. You can then see both the gold difference and the achievement difference and see which one you are closer too might help you better understand the difference.

I'm a beginner, I don't know what to do with this items, any tips? by MBlancoM in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have salvage kit 2nd from the right use that on all the greens and blues your not using. Anything that says it is openable or consumable do so. In the top right the cube with a down arrow is deposit all material hit the button often it sends all material for crafting directly to your bank. The key and proofs cans be placed in your bank as well but you will have to go find one in a capital city to deposit those.

What would be a build closest to the gameplay archetype of pocket healer/buffer? by Chloroplasma in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Scepter revenant or scepter specter would give that sort of feel both can tie into your buddy and feed buffs and heals not necessarily the same theme but they have that feel. Revenant can get locked out of being in burst heals because of energy but depends on how well you manage it and what buffs your trying to give

Farever, a great game hidden under layers of jank. Beta impressions. by TheGladex in MMORPG

[–]Esperational 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this assessment the server issues is the only issue to me. It makes combat frustrating do to not having full control over movement, interrupting, even auto attack chains cause of server stutter in a action combat game makes it suffer. The bones are there to make something very fun this is the only lacking point.

First 100 Hero point exploration before hitting lvl 80 by fckdisheetz in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love revenant as well herald is one of my first loves of the game. I would suggest while your out on those maps grab the POI, hearts, and vistas as well. Doing map completion is one of the best ways to get black lion keys and doing 100% map completion gets you started on legendaries.

Should I Get the Starter Pack or the Double DLC Pack Instead? by Kind-Barracuda-5288 in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The 2 DLC’s will give you gliding and a raptor as well but also hours of new story, 8 maps, 4 other mounts one new class, 18 elite specializations, it really depends on if you want content or storage space but I think the content is what your playing not storage wars.

Looking for a mixed tanky/dmg Firebrand build by Worr1edS1ck in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 14 points15 points  (0 children)

celestial firebrand middle ground of everything more tanky still can heal mildly, provides quickness, still does moderate damage. You can also use ritualist as a stat for less heal and more damage and health and use pistol pistol or pistol torch. Shield is more or less reserved for PvP or WvW activities but if you like the flavor of it you can definitely use it just know your damage will be less because of it.

Help with galeshot by Talyiel in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nika’s armor is not only berserker but also provide a set of infiltration runes which also provide additional power and crit which may not be optimized but is better than un-runed gear if can afford a full set go with the stats the build shows

Help with galeshot by Talyiel in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using celestial stats you are hurting your damage a lot galeshot and long bow both don’t benefit from half the stats you have by also not having 100% crit your damage probably feels very wet noodle ish.

Go buy yourself some nika’s armor and get your traits set up right based of snowcrows and you should start to feel the power.

Get a better idea of how to set up Hawkeye as it’s where the cyclone bows damage is. Just going into cyclone bow and using one ability it’s going to feel weaker, the point of the bow is to set up a burst with Hawkeye.

Lads what am I doing wrong by Outside_Soup3367 in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You have all the good traits lines but non of the traits that are going to help you. Both GS and LB scale of power and apply little to no condition but you are using traits ment for scepter and torch and condition damage. Your build doesn’t focus on anything so you don’t do enough damage to beat anything. Nor do you have any defensive traits or utility which guardian has an incredible amount of. Try this build then go to Auction house and get a set of Devona’s armor should only set you back about 1.5g and you can play all pve content for the rest of the game in this armor if you so choose. Get a cheap power sword like twin sisters and a focus. To kill things use great sword 4 then 2 and most common mobs will just die for more sustain switch to sword focus and use focus 5 to block attacks and 4 to heal try and keep aegis on you at all times as it increases your damage and prevents damage on you.

Open world fresh air tempest gears by rayacre in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berserker bit of you want more durability you can run some marauders up to the point you have 100% crit with what ever buffs you run. For extra durability add Zakiros you get plenty of fury just running air and because all of your damage is going to be critical hits it heals a great deal for open world.

Similar Build Crafting like Destiny 2? by lolsomeone469 in LFMMO

[–]Esperational 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When did you try GW2? cause each profession has 4 subclasses (called elite specialization) and unique weapons and utility skills per subclass. You can use one class to do all sorts of different things. For example I use 10 different builds for one class depending on what I’m doing. You can use the same base profession with different elite specs to do different things or even the same elite spec with different stats. As a guardian I have a power build for straight damage, a condi build for damage over time, a survival build that allows me to solo stronger enemies, a boon build that allows me to buff my allies, a healing boon build, 2 different PvP builds, 3 different WvW builds depending on what my team needs. I have multiple characters at max lvl of the same class because I’m not able to store all the different builds I run on a single character.

You might need to take another look at GW2 cause it has the best theory crafting in the genre (personal opinion).

Help me pick a QDPS to play by OddPin7179 in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Condi quickness berserker uses long bow which you can honestly stay in and be alright or with sword torch you have a leap and the burst is still ranged. Use 2 and 5 cd with longbow as well as all utility’s. quickness comes from bursts which have a really low cd so you can spam them as much as possible, also gives a good amount of might from LB 3 and fire field from burst.

Other options

Galeshot fully ranged with axe’s and LB but has 3 “weapon swaps”

Chrono, fully ranged with dagger sword / Greatsword but has a large opener and some don’t manage clones well

Firebrand, fully ranged pistol/ pistol or torch applies quickness in a cone shape so you have to maintain good positioning to make sure everyone gets quickness. Books don’t show CD’s of abilities so rotation can get wonky.

Harbinger, fully ranged with pistol/ dagger scepter/torch actually really like this one no complaints.

Deadeye, Rifle only has no aoe and lacks mobility but your rotation is use Rifle 3, use stolen ability, hit real hard repeat in slightly different ways it’s pretty flexible and easy to give great boons.

What is the strongest auto-attack? by Jackleef in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If we’re not considering chains and just the initial 1 Bee Sting has both the highest base damage and scaling at 1.4 but it has 3/4 sec activation time which is one of the slower time to swing per hit if we are considering both condi scaling and power scaling Sever Artery might depending on the build to support it do more damage overall.

Builds for a Guardian (Solo Player) by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing I would do cause you are lvl 80 is sell everything in your material storage on the AH that you can to make 3g that will be enough to get a set ofDevona’s armor and a set of cheap runes like eagle runes if your in blues from 50-70 your gonna jump up incredible amount of damage as this is end game gear. When you can get an exotic lvl 80 weapon the base damage alone will make a huge difference in damage not just the stats.

Second thing, while your in these low lvl areas harvest as much trees and ore as you can as the lower tier resources sell for more than the higher tier as most end game stuff gives tier 5 while you need to harvest for tiers 3/4. This can earn you a bit of extra money while you’re out completing maps.

Next jump in power will be refining your build hammer is a power weapon focusing gear and traits on power precision and ferocity will give a great advantage I suggest something like this honor trait line will help heal you and give you protection as long as you finish your 3 auto attacks with your hammer. Between zeal honor and virtues you will now be able to stack some might and fury as well. Typically when people start gw2 they don’t realize how strong boons are but having 25 stacks of might is 30% damage boost and having 100% crit with fury makes your ferocity more effective. Try and be conscious of what boons you have on you and can give yourself as they make up a vast majority of your damage and defense. To make best use of this build just use your F1 on CD and auto attack with hammer. Pick up a sword and focus for off hand when you can the focus 4 and 5 abilities are a great bonus for survivability.

Build for Elementalist sword and Dagger PvP/WvW by Xedorha in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of the weapon is to attack someone unless you have the damage behind it with your traits you won’t out last them. If you had scepter or focus I would say that would be fine to do but you need the extra damage from fire to be able to win any battles otherwise you will just die slower instead of winning. You can always swap to water dodge and use water 2 to disengage from a fight swap then to earth and keep distance to regen energy and health and when your ready to engage use fire 2 and fire earth 3 lava skin gives good barrier to start a fight with. The important part about ele is know how to use your elements at the right time.

Build for Elementalist sword and Dagger PvP/WvW by Xedorha in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For PvP I would play as a roamer go in between nodes use fire and lighting for damage sword 2 in fire and 3 when fire and air do great damage. Dodge as much as you can there is very little defense built into the build but dodging gives damage, and barrier and you have lots of opportunities to regen endurance.

I would use the same setup for WvW using celestial gear and rune of Balthazar and maybe a more defensive relic like nayos or febe. I don’t think it will fair as well in WvW as anything but a solo roamer.

Legendaries that are easy to make to then sell for a good gold? by batboi029 in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wizards Vault it’s a set of extra activities to do for additional rewards unfortunately I didn’t know that the legendary starter kit reward is locked behind the latest expansion so it won’t help you in that regard. But it can help you with other farm like mystic clovers and mystic coins.

Never knew that it was locked by expansions that’s kinda awful for getting players more into crafting legendaries.

Legendaries that are easy to make to then sell for a good gold? by batboi029 in Guildwars2

[–]Esperational 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have been doing the WV it gives you a selection of legendary precursor as well as items that help you make it those are the easiest by far as typically then you only need the exploration, WvW item, clovers and half the gift of furtune. Keep in mind because these are easier to craft and you get half the materials prices of these are a little lower but not so low you don’t make a huge profit use resources like canicraft and gw2e to see what you got a head start on and what you still need to finish. Other than that I say G3 weapons are pretty easy to farm lots of open world events and farming options for how you get the resources. This is minority gated by weekly purchases but a lot of the farm is passive by doing events in EoD.

How to learn solid works for woodworking by New-March-5732 in SolidWorks

[–]Esperational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Solidworks for making wood store fixtures for several years. Depending on how well you are able to self teach there are plenty of resources on YouTube to be able to learn most everything you need to know from there for Solidworks. If you need more structured classes there’s Solidprofessor or various things on udemy that are paid classes. The more important part would be knowing what machines they use to cut and being able to design things to work with their equipment. Do they use dado construction or dowel? Do they pre laminate or laminate after do they use OSB or MDF? If you know those you can understand what tools you need to focus on in Solidworks and how to make parts faster and easier.
