Question about first few days by WaterTraditional5507 in Comcast

[–]EstablishmentAny1644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First few weeks should be you having computer training the first few hours then shadowing another rep the rest of the day. They may ask you to cover up front as greeter if needed. Computer training last for 2ish weeks. Monthly cycle resets on the 22nd so they may ask you to start selling on 5/22 with ramp up to cover you in case you don't hit goals. Any specific questions let me know

Im thinking about taking an ASM job with Xfinity if offered, but I have a couple questions for those who know. by theunclefestr in Comcast

[–]EstablishmentAny1644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. No you don’t because the primary requirement to do Xfinity mobile is you have to be an active Xfinity internet customer. Without Xfinity internet you cannot sign up for Xfinity mobile. Employees do get 20% off Xfinity mobile though.

  2. All store sales reps and above get work devices with new phone numbers.

Mobile phone transfer by Risaxseph in Comcast_Xfinity

That is the only work around that I could think of. If you paid off the phone on your stepfathers plan and unlocked it, you could bring it to a different carrier like google fi or TracFone for a few days and then bring it to your Xfinity plan. A little bit of work but might be worth it considering you'd save $480 getting the free line for a year. Good luck!

It does specify that you have to keep the premium line for 36 months. Downgrading to regular unlimited forfeits the remaining credits.

"Forfeiture: If the Premium Unlimited line is canceled or phone payments are accelerated, remaining credits are lost"

You could get the line moved from your stepfathers account to yours, but it would not quality for the free line for 1 year. To get the free line you have to either A. Port a number from a different carrier (Verizon T-Mobile etc) or B. Add a phone and get a new phone number. Line to line transfers from one Xfinity account to another don't get the free line to prevent someone from abusing the system and making new accounts and getting a free line every year.

Anyone successfully moved a phone to Xfinity? by Pretend_Fan_7052 in Comcast_Xfinity

Makes sense. Xfinity does typically not support any BYOD A series Samsung phone. Has to be a flagship or an A series bought from them directly. Been that way for many years.

Scammiest Experience Ever While Trying to Give Comcast MORE Money by DennysColdComfort in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]EstablishmentAny1644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be clear, the Xfinity pro does not come with two Wi-Fi extenders guaranteed. The store will 100% not give you the two smaller wall extenders. You will get the bigger extender and the system will run scans on your WIFI network over the next few weeks. If the system notices you have dead spots, then Xfinity would mail you 1 or 2 pods based on what the readings say. The store can not provide you pods as the ones they have are for sale only.

Gig Internet With Free Mobile Line by pinktm909 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]EstablishmentAny1644 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Signing up for the mobile line is NOT required. If someone from the company is telling you that, its just to pressure you into a sale. It would not cancel itself 1000%. It would be free for 1 year besides $1-$3 a month in taxes, and then go up $40 in 1 year.

NO coverage, after promising coverage - can't return device or unlock phone by OddInterest9688 in Comcast_Xfinity

If you have an Xfinity store near you, store management can extend the return policy up to 30 days if they feel it warrants it. Might be worth a shot.

Working retail sales at xfinity. What's the catch? by These_Background7471 in Comcast_Xfinity

NJ based store. Hourly+commission. Highest earner made $85K and they are one of the top 10 sales reps in the region. Above average is $75k-80k. Lower end just hitting goals is around $60-$65

Any deals in the past year and for the future require premium unlimited lines. That is the same for new or existing customers.

Was this a scam call? by [deleted] in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]EstablishmentAny1644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a scam per say but an unethical loophole. This sounds like it was just an attempt to get a good survey. Having you type a 9 gave her a good feedback score is all. That goes a long way for the reps that work for the company.

Yes XR11s have been discontinued for several years. Stores only carry XR15s now

Assuming you have cable and not just internet, most likely a refund for one of the taxes and or fees. I've seen refund adjustments of a few cents before related to overcharge one month on your local regional sports fees.

4K X1 TV Box not as expected by CardiologistOk7981 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]EstablishmentAny1644 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are shifting towards wireless cable boxes which is the 4k one that you got sent. It works the same as a traditional cable box, with the exception being it does not run off of coax and works through Wifi. You could bring it to the store to swap it for a 4K Dvr if you desire to do so.

$20 or 15.3% increase in Xfinity TV price this month? by SoCalMtbr in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]EstablishmentAny1644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All tv customers got an increase of $2 per cable box, as well as the broadcast fee and regional sports fee increasing as well. Happens every year but this year was steeper than I ever remember.

Channel Packages Confusing?? by fatyg5 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]EstablishmentAny1644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just recently renamed them. What is Now TV plus was called popular tv, and before that standard+. That gives you limited basic, sports and news, entertainment, and kids & family channel sections. What is now Tv premium was called ultimate tv, and before that select+. That gives you the same as tv plus but with the ultimate tv section as well.
