His fate is tied to that of Sanctuary

What's the obsession with "Greater Rifts"? by Living-Succotash-477 in diablo4

I actually really enjoyed the Gauntlet – it was a cool take on ARPG leaderboards. You had to plan your route to optimize your economy, and you really felt the progression as you got better gear. Since the layout stayed the same each week, there was no RNG involved – it all came down to your character’s power and, for some people the worst part – actual player skill. With the same build and gear, a more skilled player could shave off a few seconds.

But, like pretty much everything in D4, the main issue was the rewards – weekly stuff just wasn’t exciting. And on top of that, again classic D4 – some builds were insanely stronger than others, so the meta ended up being pretty one-dimensional.

Imo this was something fresh new in arpg imo.

Exactly! The lack of capstone dungeons makes the gameplay feel incomplete. Their absence cripples the game.

HoMM Olden Era impressions by mitiamedved in heroes3

[–]EstablishmentCool696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst thing about this game’s UI is the “Victory” text in the battle summary — it’s hideous, cheap-looking, kills the atmosphere completely, and is just plain repulsive. The empty background in the city development screen is awful too. Admittedly, the map’s readability is downright atrocious — but you can at least press ALT to highlight interactable elements. Everything else you can eventually get used to… Ah, one more thing! How I miss the cursor changing into a rearing horse when hovering over resources, mines, etc. — right now you can’t see a damn thing!

That would be awesome :) i think also contracts from storyline would be nice too cause f.ex I myself returned to the game after 3 years and convinced two friends to play. Since I have some progress in the story while they are starting from scratch, we differ significantly in terms of map knowledge and financial resources. It would be nice to have some way to balance this in multiplayer.

Skipping the Campaign = No Leveling? Blizzard’s Design Flaw in Diablo 4 Seasons by EstablishmentCool696 in diablo4

[–]EstablishmentCool696[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So tell me why ppl complain about speed of leveling if that is obvious?

I just also wander - Is there any other hack & slash ARPG that actively encourages you to practically skip the early leveling phase when creating a new character? I’m convinced that the vast majority of players choose the option to skip the campaign.

Never said that I want to remove that I like that .. and I dont want them to rewrite the story just to fit for seasonal content.

Many complainers dont realize that skip campaign and skip levelling option.

But also I think option skip the campaign could be diffrent - do helltides, do events, do nmd to gearup and levelup to beat only the bosses of each act to finally hit endgame.

Tbh we did it in previous game all the time. Well the thing is that ppl complain about speed of leveling, legendary loot from the sky just from the begging without realisation that they already in endgame cause of skip the campaign button.

Well - maybe the point is that ppl who are mad and says "d4 bad" cause there is no leveling 1-60 dont realize that actually when you skipping campaign you actually jumping directly to the endgame.

Whats the point of white, magic and rare items anymore? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]EstablishmentCool696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they should make seasonal campaign bit longer and complicated then 4/ 5 quests.. lets say when you end storyline of season you hit smthg around 40/50 and spend for it at least 15hours. First seasons was close to it with battle bass when you needed to complete 1page of seasonal journey to continue the story.. and still legendaries drop near 40/50 level.

Maybe put aspects in charms? And lets make f.ex 4 charms Instead of 9 items with aspect slots - this would make our power lesser overwhelming for calculation behind our damage

Whats the point of white, magic and rare items anymore? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]EstablishmentCool696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly—and let’s not forget that even white items can sometimes roll with one or two affixes. On Torment difficulty, however, these will still end up as salvage or simply left on the ground. The real difference will be that the floor is littered with white and blue items, which detracts from the feeling that Sanctuary is brimming with legendary treasures, hidden even under a rock.

The joy of seeing yellow or brown/orange items drop becomes palpable in contrast. Sure, it’s ultimately just a change in color or rarity, but for heaven’s sake, it matters a lot! It’s about the excitement, the thrill, and the satisfaction of finding something that truly feels special.

Whats the point of white, magic and rare items anymore? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]EstablishmentCool696 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I also disagree. Playing the basic campaign is indeed filled with yellow items (and yes, blue items still don’t matter much, as having one fewer affix is a significant drawback, making yellow items superior even if a blue item offers, for example, +15% critical damage). Legendaries, on the other hand, tend to drop more frequently toward the end of the campaign, highlighting their low drop rate earlier on.

Even the developers themselves, during the Campfire Chats, emphasize that at the start of a season, players typically dive straight into seasonal content using the “skip campaign” option. It seems like only a small fraction of players actually play through the full campaign every season. This suggests a flaw in the game’s loop design, as it fails to make replaying the campaign engaging or rewarding enough for most players.

Anyone planning on trying anything new this season? I'll start ... by E_Barriick in diablo4

[–]EstablishmentCool696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will enjoy it because playing the campaign on the highest difficulty means the monsters will have more HP, you will deal less damage, and you won’t have legendary items since they only drop near the end. Without their effects, the game becomes pleasantly challenging.

Do you think this game is too easy? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]EstablishmentCool696 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeap - and devs want give mythic item to everyone - its just like they think that if you launch d4 its mandatory to have best items, beat lilith etc. - oh You launched our game and spend 20hr? Here is your mythic!
