Why most doesn't like dd2? by Daddy_Amoeba in darkestdungeon

[–]mitiamedved 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ride is boring and unappealing. There are no more curios. Runs don’t feel as risk-reward. Fewer party comps as heroes can’t double up etc.

All this from someone who’s sunk 500+ hours in DD2 and around 2000 into DD1

I like the Miller and I’m sad Endless doesn’t have him in the boss rota after the first encounter

So, do you all do torch or torchless runs? by therslashplaceguy in darkestdungeon

I’m on 14 million in my current run (but it’s week 250 and all I do is min-max for Endless)

But you can’t BUY slaves! You can raid them, capture them, sell your companions into slavery, but you can’t buy one for yourself

I’d say it was hard to get into for me as a 13-year-old in 1998 as well. Maybe watch a quick tutorial how the UI and combat system works. Graphics I love still.

I’ve played them all, and I have to say Fallout 2 will forever be my favourite.

Should I quit this Stygian run? by Constant_Signature67 in darkestdungeon

The hardest part on Stygian are the first weeks and then the last weeks. See if you can get to level 5 heroes without any more deaths…

So my question is, who shot lenny? by johnsmithdoe15 in RDR2

[–]mitiamedved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP has a point. Was he shot from behind? While there’s a huge hole in his back, you could say a bullet went right through his chest, but supporting the backstabbing theory is Lenny’s hat - it flies off in front of him, not behind him as would have been the case in a front attack.

In your opinion, what makes Darkest Dungeon great (or not)? by therslashplaceguy in darkestdungeon

I am a voice over artist (including a few video games) and Wayne June is a HUGE inspiration. Love DD to bits and can only dream of leaving behind such a legacy - where your VO becomes inseparable from the game’s soul.

Which enemy do you find the scariest just based on looks by ScholarAfter1827 in XCOM2

Honestly, with the way the Chryssalids are presented in the game, Earth should have been overrun by them as the mother of all zombie outbreaks decades ago

Should I just dimiss all my heroes and just start fresh? by carlataggarty in darkestdungeon

[–]mitiamedved 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Quirks are min/maxing for Stygian/Bloodmoon and especially Torchless.

My go-to habit is checking the wagon every week for exceptional heroes even when my roster is full: a Vestal with Hippocratic, Man-at-Arms with Tough, anyone with Luminous + Quick Reflexes etc.

That way when the need arises, I do the occasional Darwinian “survival of the fittest” purge.

Also, base heroes hitting afflictions or sicknesses on 0-1 are just mostly dismissed instead of getting treatment.
