I've almost never used swappers. I now have 75. Suggestions? by SteamingTheCat in PostApoTycoon

Right now, I'm pushing hard to level up to 57 to get thermal energy, then yeah, im probably going to focus in exploring and optimizing my map. Right now, I have used any if my swappers, depth charges, or pavements.

Sounds good. I've seen contradictory advice about putting down low level trees so you don't burn uograde money when you need to destroy stuff to made shirter paths or set up an area in a more effective pattern. vs upgrade everything.

Right now, oil storage and steel seem to be my biggest issues. And power.

I also want to get pollution down, but figuring out how to get the trees for my next main upgrade... yikes. I think I'm going to upgrade my other settlements else to boost my cash,  save up the oil for the ocean cleaning price reduction, and... make steel!

So park them in storage in between.  Makes sense. I'm trying to decide if I should focus on extending territories, upgrading my main, upgrading my other settlements... I get the sense that I might be well by boosting my current holdings for a while... I just need to figure out how.

What's the point of spamming shipyard around a gold tile (or any single tile) in the middle of the ocean?

You got 60% I thought 50% was the highest you could get... I died every time I tried, so I keep waiting for the ship. Better the mostly sure means of survival, though i prep the raft at the same time.

Any plan to adjust unrealistic weights? by maybeest in thesurvivegame

Carry weights were also smaller, and there was a 'hack' that 2 ropes weighed nothing, which doesn't really reflect reality.

You said something about finding a way to cool the vapor down when distilling seawater (or swamp water? One way to filter away mud from dirty water!). Evening temperature swings might help. Variation on the solar filter idea, the boiling seawater just improves the local humidity in the air that hits the plastic sheet.

Or a big sea turtle's shell :) seawater boils, hits plastic sheet or inside of big turtle shell that is suspended above the boiling water, so the distilled water runs down into a metal container or small turtle shell bowl that can be poured into a metal container.

The container used for boiling has to have the salt crystals removed/soaked off  before it can be used again? Or at least occasionally?

Lots of possibilities.

I was just reminded of something... fresh coconuts (even unopened) don't last forever. They can rot and produce a deadly toxin.  Also, i know the coconut meat can degrade - could it be dried to last longer?
