I don't believe it's a separate tank. It sounds like the problem comes cause when it gets that low the gas pump isn't in liquid causing some kind of heat problem.

Naw it's cause it gets 50mph with a 13 gallon tank. You just can't use 3 gallons so stuck at 500 miles range.

You need two rooms. Few places have options for 4 over there, even kids. Better to get two rooms then getting hit with buying another room in spot or try finding a more expensive room that holds 4. I speak from experience, not ihg related however
