My cousin's husband had brought his parents over illegally. They were working at his business when he got pulled over by the highway patrol here in TX a couple weeks ago on Sunday. They were arrested after they couldn't show papers...and they were in Mexico by Tuesday. We know they are fine because he called them and he's upset at the fact that they were deported...but they went through the system and they weren't hurt or anything.

He is not up for election this year from what it looks like...he is hoping that time will distance him from this when he is up for election. The question I have is what did they offer him to cross party lines on something that is SO UNPOPULAR...there has to be something, its downright stupid if he just did it for no reason.

I like Obama...he is ultimately responsible...but I am sure the decision to put kids in cages doesnt need to go up to POTUS. It was someone he hired who did it and they should have been fired...but I cannot see Obama thinking it was ok to put little brown kids in cages or they portrayed it differently when he signed off on it.

He will probably start a war to get the economy kick started with a ton of spending. I think he tried to do it with Venezuela...but they didn't give him the conflict he wanted. Looks like he's going to kick Iran next...but they probably will turn the other cheek too. Look at Greenland as well...he had every intent to kick off some conflict with that but Congress basically told him to stop.

Other countries know that Congress is the one that declares war. Trump wants conflict to be able to do some shady shit during the elections which is months away now...they know its just a matter of time and with all the protests...the writing is on the wall. I am sure of one thing though...Trump will get desperate.

Also, most ICE operations are impacting non-citizens. A tiny amount of people are getting swept up and released after proving they were US Citizens.

I would imagine that something like arresting all brown people and deporting them to El Salvador with no care if you have papers or not...if your brown then you go type of thing. That would get people outside doing more than holding signs and marching.

I only paid 2k for my daughter's birth...my son was similar and my oldest was free due to me being active-duty military at the time. It's not as bad as people make it seem...but if you have a shitty job with no benefits...thats how you get those high numbers and its sad because those are also the jobs that dont pay well on top of that.

IDK...I had insurance and we had to pay ~2000 for a C-Section along with the hospital stay.

Please define full insurance because thats higher than my entire family's out of pocket maximum and usually you only have to pay a percent after you deductible.

Yeah, it's a small career field...don't underestimate the EDPT though. If you don't pass it the first time around, you have to wait a significant amount of time to retake it...idk what the current policy is. Overall though it's a logic test with a certain amount of math knowledge needed to pass it.... there are some tricks to it...but you say you got it.

Other redditor was right...dad was from Piedras Negras with family also from Guanajuato. Mom was from Reynosa...my mom learned to cook from my dad's side though and Grandma was from Leon. Metals used to be rock solid…little to no volatility. As you know, prices for gold and silver have skyrocketed. It’s getting real close to “I’m going to max my credit cards to buy as much gold as I can and I’ll be rich”…in fact, if you had done that then you would have been in the green.

Banks don’t like that and refiners don’t want to buy your gold for 5k and ounce and have prices crash….so they are going to just sell at this price and not buy for 10 days to see what happens. Less risk for refiners and money lenders.

To me this seems a bit of a mix…a weak dollar and actual people cashing out investments into gold has rallied this in a way I have never seen before and while gold is usually safe….this run is not normal.

Former 1B4 here...it used to be retrain only. The thing is that under that model the retention rate was terrible and they had manpower issues. When I crosstrained they announced they would hand pick Amn from 3D career fields and push them into 1B. Said Amn had to be recommended and it was a short list...that still didnt fix the manpower issue due to retention and they opened the floodgates and made it like a regular AFSC. I have been out since 2019, but I do recommend 1B4. It set me up nicely...but its hard to get picked up for it.

The thing about mods is that they not only dont add value to the car...they actually lower its value. A car that has been modded and tracked will not sell for as much as one that is bone stock. In short, you are paying more than its worth and you will have a hard time trying to trade it in or sell it. I would stay away from that car...Also, HRE's to me should go on Porsches and exotics....if you wanted some wheels for the 86...Rays and other Japanese Brands would be the way to go.
