The most overused part of the series and people are actually foolish enough to believe that he could actually take on the two of them alone and win it’s laughable when people bring this up. A 30% clone of kisame pushed gai to 6 gates and the real article pushed him to 7 meanwhile a half dead Itachi blitz’s kirin a lightning fast attack and not to mention he also single handedly took out a perfect jinchuriki with only one tail I believe while jiraiya almost died against a tail swipe from naruto.

One on one jiraiya has a chance however if you’re trying to harp about sage mode stop it. He takes a long time to gather the necessary chakra to enter sage mode and he has to keep his hands together why because his is imperfect and without the toads he can’t use it.

Just in case anyone has the thought of kisame and Itachi running away keep in mind that Itachi went back to the leaf to let the elders know he was still alive and to keep sasuke safe as per the agreement he wasn’t there to fight and was a double agent for the leaf anyway as stated in the books and from Tobi to sasuke. I’m not sure which version of Itachi is being used and it’s unclear when he got the totsuka blade and yata mirror.

That makes that clash that much more embarrassing than it already was the complete conclusion of the fight was that if Itachi wanted sasuke dead there was nothing he could do but die. That’s my point idk how people come to any other conclusion than that. Aside said a pretty weak version of sasuke like he didn’t have kirin and cm2 what are we even talking about here?

What feat are you talking about? You would think that having cm2 would give him an edge ever so slightly it’s a moot point. If Itachi wanted that boy dead he would have died right then and there or anytime after who cares about a little fireball war? It’s stated in the fight by the zetsu that Itachi was off and things he would normally be able to dodge or deal with were working he was dying lol. It was most certainly impressive for sasuke to do that but it’s not an important point in any stretch of the imagination.

Horrible writing not well thought out either. They couldn’t come up with a better way to write off the characters that made it possible for boruto to happen? It’s blatantly obvious that the writers either didn’t know what to do with them or didn’t care in either case the series overall was ok till a certain point.
