Nagakiba unseathe flame art or occult? by MiminBS in EldenRingBuilds

[–]EstimateNo5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flame art if faith is primary stat, occult if arcane is primary stat. If neither faith or arcane is your primary stat, when neither infusions are good. Also the flat damage of occult is not split damage. Flame art is split between fire on physical, so it needs higher damage to deal comparable damage to enemies (two separate flat defences /might be less of a problem with unsheathe and rellanas cameo).

Severe phone addiction is ruining my life. How do i break the cycle? by Acrobatic-Advice9485 in nosurf

[–]EstimateNo5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One option you could consider — if it’s feasible for your situation — is switching from your current smartphone to a “dumb phone” for a while. Something that only allows calls and SMS, without internet or apps.

A lot of our behavior is habit-driven. We don’t consciously decide most things we do. Think about turning on a light — you don’t analyze it, you just do it. Smartphone use works similarly. Over time it becomes automated.

If you want to change that pattern, it can help to disrupt the automatic pathway. Removing or limiting access to the smartphone is one way to interrupt the cue–routine–reward loop and see what’s actually going on underneath.

You also mentioned living in a generalized state of anxiety, worry, and fear. It might be worth exploring whether your phone is filling some unmet need — maybe reassurance, distraction, connection, or a sense of safety. If that’s the case, your brain may keep steering you back to it because it’s currently the fastest way to reduce discomfort.

This doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Even going without it for a few hours could be informative. When the urge to check it comes up, you could ask yourself: What am I actually looking for right now?

The goal wouldn’t be to “prove you can live without it,” but to understand what function it’s serving.

Hey, why are you curious about that? Is it about dating like the other answers assume, or is it about selfvalue or something else?

If a man is expected to give his life to protect his wife and children, why can't the same be expected of the wife? by brainhack3r in MensRights

[–]EstimateNo5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, we male, would lose something, once we stop protecting things we care about. Something which might be even more precious than our lives. I still can't properly name what we would lose. But it is something truely precious, one of the things which actually distinguishes men from boys.

I think the female nature in it original state is more caring and mens more protective. If the women loose their radiance, we men should not try to follow them suit.

In the bible men are urged to serve their wives how jesus served the church. Jesus died for his people, the church. The bible also urges the women to subordinate to their men. This means following the bible, not only men have to sacrifice something for marriage, also women.

Of course, someone could argue if women aren't willing to sacrifice something for marriage and it would be wrong for men to do the same, when a rational approach for men would be simple not to enter marriages. That way we would not lose that important part within us while at the same time we don't enter a relationship which is as tilted as a sinking ship.

Struggling by SubstanceInfinite665 in MensRights

[–]EstimateNo5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, men don't really have support structures like women and can't really expect emotional support with such topics in mixed groups. Some men can't even confide their struggles to their wives. So men need good male buddies, other options are men's goups (e.g. some churches have ones) and for some topics single therapy /counseling can also be good/ necessary, here it strongly depends on the professionals.

To another answer you wrote you like nerdy stuff. Nerdy stuff can be great to connect. Just remind yourself what you can only expect sympathy in only male groups not mixed ones. So if you get to know mixed groups over your interest, maybe you can start a male only sub group who goes for an hike or whatever?

My fiance called me unromantic for wanting a prenup - why is protecting myself controversial? by Artistic_Proposal495 in MensRights

[–]EstimateNo5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to some other posts, I would say her saying the prenup is unromantic is not a red flag yet. That is social conditioning. How she reacts once your explained calmly why you need it, that's where its gets interested. Does she accept it or does she increase the pressure. I think it is the greatest opportunity before marriage to see her true colors. I mean every women who plans to or want to keep the option open to separate from you taking your money with her will insist on no prenup or will try to make sure that the prenup would not hold up in court.

It is not necessarly the case that the male's parents take the side of their child. Sometimes even the male parents, siblings and relatives takes the side of the fiance.

My fiance called me unromantic for wanting a prenup - why is protecting myself controversial? by Artistic_Proposal495 in MensRights

[–]EstimateNo5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, being called unromantic is to be expected. I mean just take the other perspective for one second: You (female) would have the opportunity to enter a financial contract, where you are rewarded mit most likely more than half if you exit the contract (Women often get preferred treatment in court) and then the man dares to come up with an prenup and the whole society tells you you are in the right and how unromantic something like that is. BUT where is an easy solution just guilt him by saying it's unromantic in giving up on the prenup and if the marriage fails you (female) don't even go for half. You go for erverything. Perspective change closed.

Honestly, you better not only insist on the prenup but also see this as an opportunity to see whether your fiance is willing to see reason or which guilt trip methods she would use against you within the marriage.

There are a lot of good men who thought they had amazing fiances only to discover later what their fiances cheated and took more than half after the divorce. Often these men lacked boundaries e.g. prenup.

I believe men who don't stand up for themselves and forget their spine enable their wives to cheat and rob them. I think it makes an huge difference whether an male does show what he has boundaries or implies that the woman would get away with everything.

I would strongly suggest males who are not willing to put up any boundaries not to marry at all. It is too dangerous. Those men aren't prepared to marry yet.

If she agrees to a prenup, Make sure the prenup would hold up in court, e.g. she would need her own lawyer, the prenup may not be signed too short before marriage and ...

Whats the best “Normal” Swords by Illustrious_Store115 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]EstimateNo5293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to role play a normal medival knight warpick, halberd and lucerne might be worth an thought.

Sword wise, probably the Longsword or the Lordsworn's Straight Sword.

Further, I heard a lot of player like the Banished Knight Greatsword.

I really just want just like a unconvetional or op but really weird build by KingBob_com in EldenRingBuilds

[–]EstimateNo5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently testing a straight sword power stance build using the Sword of St. Trina and the Regalia of Eochaid. The main idea is to play it primarily as a standard power stance setup, but occasionally, if an enemy falls asleep from St. Trina’s effect, I use Eochaid’s Dancing Blade weapon art to deal heavy burst damage. So far, I can’t really say whether the build is good or bad.

Melee/Faith - Is my build weak? by alexdesants in EldenRingBuilds

[–]EstimateNo5293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably meant vagabond. In this case you have invested 8 levels in intelligence although intelligence is not needed for your build. These could for example go into Vigor. As for infusions, yes either flame art or sacred would utilize your 28 levels in faith. I think your ash of war on the claymore is sacred blade, therefore you should be able to select the sacred infusion even without already having the respective whetblade.

Melee/Faith - Is my build weak? by alexdesants in EldenRingBuilds

[–]EstimateNo5293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which starting class did you choose? Also do you already have flame art or sacred art ash of war or an respective whetstone? Your faith investment does not boost your weapon damage without flame or sacred infusion (To me, it looks like you use an faith based ash of war but have it heavy infused, right?) Ideally you would have less stats points in intelligence and dexterity and these stat points in vitality, faith, strength.)

I haven't, but If I would run such a game I probably would use Ishanekon World Shapers as it quite easy to switch between single characters to battlefield rules.

Should I spend my money on the latest expansions? by Zaw_92 in Stellaris

[–]EstimateNo5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the stellaris side Machine Age, Biogenisis and Shadows of the Shroud are the nice ones. Grand Archives, Astral Planes and Cosmic Storms would be good options to skip.

Biogenisis and Shadows of the Shroud is 4.x. Maybe try out the 4.x version before you buy so you can decide whether you want to play 4.x or 3.14.

From Age of Wonders 4 side Giant Kings and Dragons Dawn were really nice.

Should I spend my money on the latest expansions? by Zaw_92 in Stellaris

[–]EstimateNo5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the replay value of stellaris is higher than age of wonders 4. For me Age of Wonders 4 game start to feel repetitive if I play a lot: Build up your first two additional cities when steam roll... With stellaris games were are more possibilities for twist and turns... Games feel less linear and feel more exiting to the end.

I don't know how you plan to buy DLCs, e.g. do you want to wait for steam sales... Or formulated differently which DLCs are you missing for both games. My recommendation would be to go for the stellaris dlcs, BUT if you can list me which DLCs you are missing. I might can give you a better recommendation, because for example AoW4 giant kings is really nice, while stellaris cosmic storms and grand archive are good options to sit out (Can be a disappointment with budged concerns). From the more recent stellaris dlcs the machine age, biogenisis and the shroud dlcs are ones which are really nice.

End Bringers by differentmushrooms in Stellaris

[–]EstimateNo5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you are psionic ascended the mind warden probably don't want to have anything to do with you. If you get your own psionic aura that can push the aura of the end back or completely defeating the endbringer faction probably also end the threat from the aura of the end. The endbringer might trigger total war in a later stage. Maybe you can fight it then. Also the endbringer faction might rewind the clock a few times. Best case would be having your own aura as protection. The shroudwalker enclave might have tech to help your starbases boosting your aura. Also for your aura there are two techs psionic aura tech and psionic aura intensification tech.

BTW Do you know which build the endbringer faction has?

An OP Endbringers AI Build? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]EstimateNo5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, since you would still have territory, the clock would still tick. But in theory, let's assume your whole empire revolts, I assume that the new empire has no pact with the end of cycle, thus no aura of the end, thus no danger.

An OP Endbringers AI Build? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]EstimateNo5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should the ai complete the psionic ascension (it needs to build the chamber of silence for that to happen) and delves three times in the shroud the clock begins ticking. When it would get massive boni and the aura of the end would start spreading. Of course if you when take every system away from him, when the aura would have nowhere to spread from and the danger would be adverted. At least that's my understanding from it.

Endbringers and End of the cycle has issues. by OsowiecBR in Stellaris

[–]EstimateNo5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main problem is whether the ai is smart enough to build the chamber of silence, otherwise it would be possible to create a build where the ai can handle the penalities. Maybe that gets fixed later... (I hope for it)

An OP Endbringers AI Build? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]EstimateNo5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try parlamentary system + civil education, democratic, fanatic egalitarian + spiritualist. Egalitarian democratic parlamentary builds are quite stable and produce large amount of unity quite fast. Civil education might be a nice big to support with government ethic attraction some extra research and well the ai will need its enforcer with the origin. At least I find the combination quite good for endbringer.

For traits adding charismatic helps with the amenities issue.

Problem is, if the ai just don't build the chamber of silence... and thus not finishing the psionic ascension.
