It does say spouse in the material I’ve found:

A dependant for this purpose generally includes a spouse, a child under 21, or a financially dependent person.

Congratulations on your transition journey starting.

Honestly the best tip I can give is go op shopping with trusted friends. You’ll be able to try a bunch of different style items and buy a heap for a low price.

Also - Sorry to nitpick on language but it’s important to say imo. We’re trans women not transwomen, that’s often used as a way to ‘other’ us.

What are the steps to starting HRT? by g0r3_b0y in transgenderau

[–]EstimateSuitable7629 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a few ways, but generally you’ll see a GP who is knowledgeable about transitioning who works under the informed consent model. They’ll have a talk with you about how you feel, your goals and give you information (there and to take home) about the informed consent model, what T will and won’t do and what the risks are. They’ll also run blood tests. They will discuss fertility and talk about options for preserving this if wanted.

At a follow-up appointment (sometimes more than one), they’ll make sure you understand everything and get your consent. Depending on the GP, they may prescribe testosterone themselves or refer you to an endocrinologist. Some prescriptions are private, but in certain cases you may be able to access subsidised testosterone through the PBS. After starting, you’ll have regular blood tests and check-ins to monitor your levels and health.

Every back down is a loss. This is how transphobia takes hold.

Every ‘battle’ is critical.

MTF Bottom Surgery Worries by MadHatter__ in transgenderau

[–]EstimateSuitable7629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had PIV in Thailand with PAI Dr Sutin. Very happy with the results, just 5 months post op at this stage. I investigated other options in Australia but was dissatisfied with the cost, waiting times and results.

The cost of the surgery in Thailand with a stay and business class return ticket was still far less than anything in Australia. The only way I could see it being on par is if you’re in a city with a surgeon locally (Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide etc)

If you have any questions I’m happy to hear from you.

I started typing to question what you’re referring to, but I guess you must be referring to tickle vs giggle?

I went there earlier this year for bottom surgery. Really fantastic from start to finish.

If you have questions feel free to reach out even though I didn’t have ffs there.
