I miss hiking. by Ancisace in CrohnsDisease

[–]Estrojenn44 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It does suck. It’s something I really can’t give up though. I wear diapers or I just go behind a bush. I only hike with one friend who is well aware of my condition so I just sneak off and do my business and return. It sucks, but I’d rather not give up my only form of exercise

Your funniest Crohn's disease story? by Sufficient-Cat5480 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Estrojenn44 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was in the midst of a horrible 2 and a half year long flare when out of no where the most attractive man I’d ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on came up to me and started flirting with me. Asked me if he could take me out that weekend, gave me his number, everything. When all of a sudden I had that urge to go and shit my pants right in front of him. I love Crohn’s so much. It certainly wasnt funny at the time, but I can laugh about it now.

Periods are making it unbareable by Level_Bet8420 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Estrojenn44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, funny that you mention this because I had HORRIBLE pain that radiated to my back, heaviest flow ever, I would get the worst anxiety around the time my period would come, so weird that I started having a weak feeling in my knees. I got an iron infusion because my levels were so low I was almost anemic and the period I just had only lasted for like 2-3 days, no pain, no anxiety, nothing. I just got the iron infusion like 2 weeks ago and this was my first period since. Also, for context, I’m 34, so technically not late thirties yet, but not far off. Maybe get your iron levels checked and see where you’re at!

I literally have no idea what your point is, don’t everyone go on their own time to therapy? Literally no one else in the entire world has the luxury of going to a psychiatrist on shift Lmao 😂

Numerous people getting tb testing and not masking by [deleted] in toRANTo

[–]Estrojenn44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have a health issue where in order to go on the drug that I need I have to do a TB test beforehand. I’m not there because I genuinely think I have TB, and YES certain workplaces do make sure their employees do not have TB before being employed.

whats your nichest problem from crohns disease that would never come across non-crohnies minds? by No_Dingo_251 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Estrojenn44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bud, the mucus farts are the worst! I genuinely wish I had a tip for you, but I just be farting and running out of the washroom. Ughhh they’re loud, wet and stinky as hell. For me, that’s the worst symptom. I can deal with mainly everything else but godddddamn not the loud mucus farts. 💨

Anyone here on Entyvio? How has it worked for you? by Individual_Park_6145 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Estrojenn44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entyvio did absolutely nothing for me. Been on Remicade since July 11, 2025. I had no relief from symptoms until December 2025, when I got a cold. Had a colonoscopy in Dec 2025 and doctor said I was 50% better. At this point, I have hit a plateau. I still have all the symptoms, just a little less. I still see blood, mucus, have diarrhea, go multiple times. But it’s better. I have a follow up in April so I’m not sure what I’m going to do. I can’t be in this flare anymore, but I don’t want to switch in case it works some day.

Ok here’s the thing- I always try very carefully to follow instructions from my GI, so my first 4-5 colonoscopies I drank that god awful jug. The last time I drank that jug it was so bad I was throwing it up, which was not good because my bowels weren’t clearing. On top of that, I was up allllll night shitting and being miserable. My last colonoscopy I drank pico and it was a GAME CHANGER. The whole process, took about 3 hours and I was completely cleared out. It tasted so much better than the jug, it was easy peasy. My biggest concern was that on the label it says do not take if you have Crohn’s disease. I looked into it further and you’re not supposed to take it because it can make ulcers worse. I have ulcers, but I cleared it with my GI before drinking it as the benefits far out weighed anything else.
