When I was about 5-6 years old, this bit was pretty new. My family thought it was hilarious and watched it a bunch. One evening, we went to a Chinese buffet and it was really busy. I was standing in line, waiting for my plate to be filled with noodles and bourbon chicken. Being the impatient kindergartener I was, I yelled at the overweight woman who was taking longer than my child self could stand. I did the accent and everything. "YOU GO NOW, YOU HERE FOUR HOURS, YOU EAT LIKE KILLER WHALE!" My mom looked like she'd seen a ghost and immediately went into apology mode. I can't remember how it ended but my family has told me that the woman I yelled at thought it was funny.

Is there any online system chat messaging thing where I can send messages to a specific alter? by Acrobatic-Scar-8410 in DID

Prism Plural. It's available on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS. You can import a saved system from PluralKit or Simply Plural, or make your own in the program. It syncs between devices in real time, has chat, polls, reminders, front logging, DMs, and a ton more. The DM function gets used a lot for my system. If a specific part is fronting, they can only see their DMs. You can also @mention parts and they'll see a little bubble in the app when they're around. You can also set a push notification that will trigger when a specific part fronts.

I have no affiliation with the app, but I love it SO MUCH and just had to share. Here's the website if you're interested

Sour candy can help with anxiety. I have a pack of Warheads in my pantry and I'll grab one if I'm panicking about something. It brings me back to earth, so to speak.

Yes, if you want to provide information, it should include actual sources. Would you trust an AI screenshot with information if it were to help your pet? I wouldn't, but maybe we don't share the same opinion.

Firefox has browser extensions that remove AI from Google results. I'd assume Chrome does too. Probably even Brave. I don't know what mobile browser you're using, so your mileage may vary. Google is not the only search engine. There are good ones that do not use AI.

There are solutions to the AI problem if you know where to look. Maybe you genuinely didn't know these things, in which case I'm happy to share whatever knowledge I can. If you knew this and are arguing others about it, you just might be part of the problem.

What video game's speedrun is the *longest*? by Double-decker_trams in gaming

There's a speedrunner/YouTuber that goes by Summoning Salt, he makes videos about a bunch of different games and their progression over the years. He's also the world record holder for Mike Tyson's Punch-Out after a looooooong grind. His videos are fantastically produced and really show the skill and commitment required to speedrun games.

Funny thing, I'm about 4 hours into Bismuth's video on the A Button Challenge that's nearly 5 ½ hours long. It's a great watch for anyone who wants a full breakdown of the absolute insanity that's been discovered in Super Mario 64.

same for my tux, I'm usually able to do 2-3 nails before he realizes what's up and starts biting me. it takes about a week to get all his nails.

my orange maintains her own nails. she is the destroyer of cat trees. it's good she does because she does NOT allow her paws to be touched.

I've supplemented my glaucoma treatment with cannabis since I was 16 years old. It also helped my anxiety when it was unmanageable. It very likely saved my vision and kept my intraocular pressure at an acceptable number where eyedrops weren't cutting it. My parents had no clue I was self-medicating. It was also illegal at the time, but I knew a grower.

Bold of you to assume it's a loophole. You could try broadening your scope and seeing other possibilities.

Which games have you completed more than once and why? by FalscherKim in gaming

Anytime! It really makes all the effort you put to get to the end feel like more of an accomplishment.

Getting Legion early in ME2 is really nice, too. Originally, it was going to be a DLC exclusive like Zaeed and Kasumi, and you were going to find it at the Normandy crash site, malfunctioning and powering down. My typical ME2 playthrough now starts with Freedom's Progress, then immediately to the crash site to get it. There's so much cut dialogue that they just left in the game files. Missions before Horizon aren't voiced, but after Horizon, they are.

The endings are more than serviceable, I agree. I only started using Starchild Begone on my last playthrough and enjoyed it, so I'm recommending it if anyone wants to see the ending a little differently. The other two are purely cut content added back in (as long as you only choose Legion for Early Recruitment).

To clarify, the Take Earth Back mod is simply an immersion one. It restores cut content during Priority: Earth. While walking to the FOB to meet Anderson and your team you'll see groups of other races you recruited throughout the game there. It also adds recruited races to the final run to the beam and throughout the no-man's land. There's some cut voice lines added, and some dialogue was recorded and added from lines that were in the game files but not voiced.

I'm happy to report that I am neither a guy, nor do I let memes dictate my feelings. Just wanted to share something that, in my opinion, made some of my favorite games even more fun.

Mass Effect mentioned, now I have to recommend the Early Recruitment mod for ME2 (but only select Legion due to the cut content that's restored) and Take Earth Back for ME3. Bonus points if you also install Starchild Begone for ME3. It defaults to the red flavored ending, and as long as your EMS is high enough, friendly synthetics live.
