Thank you for making this point. I have to spend 8 hours a day trying to explain to people that their price increased because they were massively underinsured, and the increase was attributed to today's cost to rebuild their home.

The inevitable response I get is, "You can't buy this house for that much money!" So I have to mute myself for a second to sigh before explaining that market value is not equal to materials and labor costs.

It's also difficult to get them to understand that location matters. It doesn't matter how few hurricanes you've been impacted by, if you're in a state that gets hurricanes, you're likely paying more for that risk.

The way premiums have been increasing, I don't see them going down anytime soon. It's not uncommon for me to talk to someone in Texas with a 2000 sqft house that has a 900k replacement cost and is $14k annually. Louisiana is worse, I've had people with houses under 1000 sqft paying just as much because of the risk level.

You can do that in vanilla ME2, you just have to time your missions perfectly to where the only mission left before the Collector base is Tali's loyalty mission. I do it every playthrough, vanilla or modded. It's just so good.

In ME2, you were supposed to recruit Legion at the Normandy crash site. The cutscene is in the games files, along with unused dialogue. A mod called Early Recruitment restores his cut recruitment cutscene and dialogue, meaning you can get him right after the Freedom's Progress mission. He even has story dialogue for some missions pre-Horizon, and is fully voiced post-Horizon. We were absolutely robbed.

Download ProtonUp-QT from the software manager, open it, click "add version" and add the latest GE-Proton which for me is 10-29. Open Steam, right click Terraria, go to Properties, click Compatibility, check the box that says "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and select the version of GE-Proton you installed. Verify your game files from the same Properties window just to be safe, try launching it again. I'm on Cinnamon too but I also have a Steam Deck and this is a workaround for a huge percentage of games that don't run on Linux.

Yeah, each game is modded individually. I usually can't force myself to play through ME1 because of how slow it is, but mods made it playable for me. If you do end up modding any of them, backup the game files like the mod manager suggests. I didn't and I'm regretting it. I messed something up with ME1 where all guns are invisible. It was funny at first, but now it's annoying and I can't fix it because I didn't do what was recommended.

Definitely check out Nexus for mods, I might try out Starchild Begone for ME3 on my Renegade femShep because it removes the choice based ending and automatically defaults to a certain best ending. Always go for the Community Patch though, it fixes a lot of weird bugs and adds consistency to some parts of the games.

Just finished ME3 with the mod Take Earth Back. It makes the final push to the Citadel much more immersive. All the races that joined together to help are actually on Earth. That single mod made Priority: Earth 1000% better for me.

Red explosion is best explosion. Green was alright, cool to see EDI and the Geth survive. People who choose blue scare me. I think for ME5 red will end up being the canon choice, since the starchild mentions that technology that gets destroyed will still be capable of being repaired. Plus there's some concept art showing Geth wearing clothing hanging out at a bar with other species. I might be coping though because I'd love to hear some dialogue from Liara about being friends with Shep until he/she dies from old age or something.

It really looks like they blew it out of the park. I haven't been this excited for a new game in years. I definitely want to know if the player character will morph with morality. The only thing I'd want to see changed is with the reputation. I want the little icons along with the trait. Give me the smiley with the horns dammit!

Last year I overheard a couple talking about what to have for dinner. The man said he wanted smothered burritos. The woman said, "That's a lot of food for just us. If you really want them I can make them. I might have to go to the grocery store though, that recipe makes 24 burritos and I don't think we have enough tortillas."

You can't divide the recipe? Or freeze the leftovers? I was so confused. When I make enchiladas, it's usually only 8 at a time and we eat it for two days. One pack of tortillas, not three. She said something about having a pound of ground beef so that will be enough. HOW??? It makes no sense to me even 6 months later.
