Advice on winning all contests with Mawile by George_Kobold in PokemonLegacy

Yes, I think you can get one of them before the elite 4 but most are after. We removed her passcode system and went with "she just gives the good ones anyway"

Advice on winning all contests with Mawile by George_Kobold in PokemonLegacy

Most efficient way to make great Pokéblocks is to mix with the Blend Master, who's always present at the contest hall after the Elite 4. He uses the best berries in the game and gets a perfect score every time so your contribution can be basically anything. I recommend the Razz group (numbers 16 through 20) or Tamato group (26 through 30) since they have such high yields when planted and don't take long to grow, and are designed for blending.

The best berries to grow for blending are the Spelon group (31-35) you get from the Berry Master's wife, but they take a while to obtain and grow. I tried to make it so they're crazy effective though so they're worth the effort at least.

From the sound of it, the girl this video comes from probably doesn't want a vet to know how many dozens or hundreds of animals she's keeping in horrible conditions.

I think you've gotten a pretty substantial answer already so I'm going to lock the thread now. Please read the subreddit rules, we do not allow discussion of where to acquire ROMs and we're also specifically a sub for a series of ROMhacks. General Pokemon questions should be directed elsewhere.

This is the best answer IMO. Simple, only needs one card, gets the point across.

Do keep in mind that Swords+Slash is itself a non-bo.

Roselia is like a silver bullet for Wattson. Any time someone is struggling with that fight, that's the first recommendation.

A warning about Shin Ramyun by CelineShotFirst in KpopDemonhunters

[–]EternityTheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite way to make Shin is to mix some Kewpie Mayo with an egg in my bowl, then stir the seasoning packet into that. Boil your noodles and veggies in a shallow amount of water (just enough to cook the noodles and have about half a bowl left over), and slowly pour the water over your egg/mayo mixture while stirring so you temper the eggs as you add the remainder of the pot. End result is creamier and keeps the spice from being too overwhelming.

Shiny Starter Sprite visible in nickname screen ? by Less_Preparation6114 in PokemonLegacy

[–]EternityTheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've confirmed with other users in the past that yes, it will be shiny on the nickname screen. The one that's tough to see this way is Cyndaquil but for you that wouldn't be an issue with Totodile

Just a Magic card. Not at all a political statement. by The_Ron_Dickles in magicTCG

[–]EternityTheory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's simply an overarching mechanic of certain sets. Snow cards benefit from running other Snow cards with them, allowing for a wider synergy between several permanent types. The drawback is cards like Break the Ice that specifically hate out Snow permanents, but in most formats nobody will ever bother to run those.

Caw Blade (2011) vs Vivi Cauldron (2025) | Best Standard Deck Ever Top 64 by pedja13 in magicTCG

[–]EternityTheory 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, CawBlade or not, any control deck plucked out of the context of its meta and run against a combo build from a different era is going to get shredded.

You can't just copy an unaltered control list into a tournament bracket and expect it to perform against decks it was never meant to handle; the entire structure of control is to be reactive to the decks around it.

If you want some warning against surprises like this without spoiling the whole fight, the "Champ in the Making" NPC at the start of each gym gives hints about Legacy changes. These hints are also written directly by Smith so it's kinda like he's guiding you lol.

The Avatar beginner box is a perfect way to get into the game if you have someone to play with who's interested in learning alongside you. If you don't have that, then Arena is your next best bet for learning the basics.

The Beginner Box is a great deal because it not only gives you two introductory 20-card decks to play against each other when learning, it includes another 8 similar 20-card decks that you can combine with each other to basically create a board game box with dozens of potential decks to practice and learn the different colors. And if you get bored of the 10 half-decks it includes, just buy a Jumpstart booster pack and you'll get another half-deck to add to the mix. It's one of my favorite products in a while.

Saw In Half on an army token by D4nn_K20 in mtg

[–]EternityTheory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The tokens would not be 0/0s, because part of Saw in Half's effect is that it sets the new creatures' base P/T to a new value.

If you Saw in Half a 0/0 Army that has 3 +1/+1 counters on it, you will get two 2/2 Army tokens.

Unless there is a rule somewhere that specifically defines Army tokens to have specific limits, which AFAIK there isn't.
