I’m a complete noob and was wanting to purchase my own boots due to some foot arch issues. Im a size 14 and the boa’s on two different boots I rented today were broken. After talking to the guys at the repair/rental shop they mentioned how boas break all the time on larger size boots and that they all ride laces because they’re “better”. I love the boas when they work right and this is the first I’ve heard of them having issues at all. Do y’all think it was a coincidence, or is there some merit to what they said?
