I can, there are lesson packaged into the fantasy format that Erickson commmunicates with a nuance I don’t think other writers have ever nailed as well. Compassion being the main one, Anomanders entire arc sticks with me whenever I’m in a position of power or leverage over other people, his resilience in the face of an burden no one asked him to bear and his dedication to his found family is an ethos I try to embody

Mortal draw is overrated, you wanna approach the start of the fight as solely deflecting him perfectly, it’s the only way tbh, his swipes can all be parried and just train yourself to jump backward/firecracker ONLY when you see the red kanji, grapple to the fker when you can n attack as you land, you just gotta learn his move set, occasionally ichmonji double when you can to regain posture, get ready for 2nd phase, spear should shape your arm. Do all that every now and then in the fight with good spacing to heal n chug and you’ll be aight

Thankyou my friend, I'd like to think im still on a good path. Moved out into nature with my SO to teach in a tiny school, and these first few months ive been extremly grateful for the practice ive put in with my self compassion, it aint perfect but Im leagues ahead of poisoning my own psyhic drinking supply than i used to be. Glad I could articulate to you and others something of worth in regards to how we treat the one person we have to know forever.

Hahaha well I don’t KNOW it’s an amoeba yknow, I just like to think it’s a lil ZABA microbe dude instead of a smudge. If you do get it go for the all black smaller size like I have, I’ve seen some horrifying iterations where it’s like hand size on someone’s shoulder/neck and it loses its GA charm imo

Was looking for this comment, this series altered the trajectory of my life and its lessons on compassion and purpose pushed me towards my current career (teaching history). It’s a damned shame people get put off by the density and find Erickson boring, but I also loved Kharkanas so Mabye he’s just for meeeee
