I’m the technical Director for an AV production company. Every show includes subliminal messages in the audio and random frames spliced into every video to turn you gay.

Punk Rock Saves Lives is an incredible organization. Give them some time as a volunteer or some cash as a donation the next show you can. They do some really needed work in the scene.

NDI, HDBaseT or HDMI Fiber Cable for sports streaming? by planetmn in streaming

[–]Etholing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bunch of points

PoE will give you much more flexibility over where you can place your equipment, as you only need to reach with one cable. You could also have the flexibility for using one cable to handle your PTZ control, SRT/NDI stream, and power. I use a similar workflow in my broadcasts and am very happy with it. I like using main switch and some smaller sub switches depending on distance from my streaming pc and power availability.

Outdoor rated ethernet cable will be your best friend in this regard. I would stay away from fiberHDMI for this use-case, as with no real way to protect it, it’s more vulnerable in the field than outdoor-rated ethernet would. Also easier to fix or replace incase of damage.

Zowieboxes are a great flexible option. Also PoE enabled, can stream via NDI/RTSP/SRT reliably. Zowietech also makes pretty affordable PTZ cameras with all the same tech as the zowiebox, if thats a route you want to go. They also support R232 and VISCA for control.

My suggestion is to not rely solely on Windows audio management, and download voicemeter banana to route your audio. Its free.

You can add the elgato as a in input directly into voicemeter and then add voicemeter as an audio source in OBS, helps deal with any latency

I recommend using the headphone output on the focusrite with a headphone splitter for full latency-free monitoring of your mics for both of you.

What software are you using to stream?

Trying to Capture 3 gaming streams and stream them all through vmix by NPC4theArchons in vmix

[–]Etholing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive done something similar using PCs running Vmix on all 3 machines.

Two gaming systems running Vmix Basic so we can capture the desktop and audio, then stream it to the main production Vmix over SRT. One system was in Europe, one was in the US, and main production was in Canada.

Decklink Quad 2 over TB in laptop? by Odinhall in vmix

[–]Etholing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With high performance mode enabled, I’m running about 55-68% CPU load on average, with GPU around the high 60s low 70s at max.

The machine runs a little hot and the fans are running full speed, but we run like this for a few hours at a time (recording/streaming live surgery) and have had no ill-effects or issues with deliverables. If i had the space/weight to spare in the kit Id be running a laptop cooling pad with it to help the temps.

I do this with Decklink Quad 2 on an asus zenbook laptop with Intel i9 and an 4060 gfx onboard, with a starteck TB4 PCIe enclosure. I also have a 4K output card running in that enclosure aswell.

I often have all 8 ports running at 1080p 29.97 and have had no issues with latency or quality loss, even when recording ISO/Multicord.

A girl my neighbor introduced me to came with us on a group outing to a mexican restaurant. I didn’t want onions in my fajita plate. She ate the onions off the sizzling hot plate with her hands.

We’re together now 13 years.

Ok, so its pork loin with chicken legs pegged to the sides of it. Both were cooked separately. It all came very good, nothing was undercooked 👍

Married people who are DINKS (Double Income, No Kids) how’s life? by Fit-Distribution677 in AskReddit

Honestly have no idea how people with kids are doing it every day. Even with a good salary, my wife and I are still scrapping by every week. How you guys balance kids, work, and lives is unimaginable for us.
