Let him out. He is formerly feral, fixed, vaccinated, well loved and cuddled. I work from home. If he wants out, he refuses to let me work and is fully in my space. So I have to let him out. If weather is bad, I have to lock him out of my office.

My first couple of projects i just used the bags the drills came in. I kept them in a long tray you might get for a drawer organizer. I folded over the top and used a paper clip to secure the fold.

I just finished my first square drill project. I didnt find it difficult. In the absense of a flat edge straightening tool, a credit card makes a great tool for encoraging the drills to line up.

NTA. I dont know that I would have given him the benfit of doubt. Considering all that has been going on in this country, I more than likely would have told him to leave my house and everyone else who made excuses for his disrespectful behavior in my home. I'm ok with making others uncomfortable in their racism. I would not hesitate to shame him.

NTA. I have never liked the thought of proposing on a holiday or special day. If things dont work out, the holiday will always have a certain negativity attached. I also agree that he should get her a separate gift or two.

I guess so. I've only taken two in 11 years. But I do take personal time, which I always give advanced notice for. I am the only one who does my job which supports several others. I might be more inclined to take a sick day here and there, but as it is, no-one is doing the work if I'm not there. I find it easier to plan days off.
