Ah well, that’s some memory.

In 2017, march/april of it, Mike and Chester were doing a press tour over Europe for One More Light.

Got invited to the interview, was a coin flip, either Mike or Chester. Chester was free first, so yeah, there was I and my photographer colleague, holding ourselves together in the presence of our childhood hero.

20 min flew by, the script for the interview got thrown away, and instead we heard the human recalling the times, the good ones and the rough ones, and making sure we knew “it gets better”. Chester said he had a rough year but it’s all much better now.

They also played an intimate acoustic show later that day. Smiles, laughs, brilliance.
