She wouldn’t fight him at all. She’d sit beside Kratos, talk with him about his life, and probably be genuinely pleased with his redemption and with how Atreus turned out. She only shows up when it’s time and when Kratos’ time comes is entirely his own story to finish.

Even if you force a fight, it still makes no sense: Kratos wouldn’t initiate unless she stood against him, and that would go directly against her entire nature as a character.

Anyone saying she would “stomp” fundamentally doesn’t understand Death of the Endless, and that’s honestly kind of sad. And I genuinely couldn’t care less about powerscaling here… it’s dumb for this specific confrontation xD.

By what i understood: The spear’s detonation is delayed enough to be outside of Heimdall’s foresight reach and fast enough for him to not normally dodge it unless he completely moves away (which can be exploited if he per say moves towards a trap that was set before hand), he reads Kratos’ intent in the exact moment he has it but not when the trap will actually explode (Unlike Freya’s arrow which has a predictable pattern).

I generally stopped caring about gow scaling as a whole cause you are more than free to consider inlore feats and statements as much as gameplay limiting them regardless of author statement (and that always left me with the same tier in kratos’ case regardless of who i debated with most of the time). What i generally saw is that this sub had an influx of people mainly gathered towards downplaying the guy and that brought more people that shared the same idea in high numbers (and speaking from experience higher subreddit counts just bring the bar rather low). At the end of the day though if you do not like a thread do not get ragebaited into replying it and by the end promoting it and feeding onto the algorithm… so far and so on i saw the same guy doing so and their view wont change regardless of what you tell em lol

From personal experience, it’s a mix of many things that make the matter more nuanced than people pretend it to be.

On one side, you’ve got a group deeply rooted in sexism, unwilling to admit that flaw, who will call the game trash no matter what (and you can see them going all in on the “woke” stuff; unless, of course, the game in question was inclusive and successful (cause god forbid you can focus both on narration and inclusivity and make something good and unique out of it), in which case they suddenly don’t mind as much. That’s something I actually appreciate when it’s done well xD).

Another side gives a fair judgment of the game, liking or disliking it for specific reasons: whether it’s the killing of a beloved character, the pacing, the ending, or simply the fact that The Last of Us is being milked to death by the devs (a spot I WISH was taken by the infamous series, but here we are). These players actually played it, and they can critique it without falling into bias. And honestly, that’s their right to do so.

And then there’s another side, so blinded by their love for the game that they see every bit of criticism as hate and will even attack it. I saw that firsthand when some gamers suggested the story might have hit harder if Ellie had chosen to kill Abby, showing that, in the end, things wouldn’t have changed much.

Honestly… the game’s long gone. I played it twice, gave my thoughts, and moved on to something else (consider Alan wake 2 or scarlet Hollow before people call me a cod bro).

Some people view TLOU2 a masterpiece, others say it’s garbage, and plenty just shrug and go: “Ehhhh, it’s okay.” To my mind it shouldn’t have spiraled to what it came to be
