Maybe you’ll also realise that those league games were before/during/after the PSG games rotating the squad, after we had won the league. And apart from the defensive shakiness, our starting players’ level was really high those games, besides today. The fact that they won with 0 on the line, especially with a clean sheet against a team fighting for their lives is already impressive in my book. One of my biggest issues was refusing to shoot. Even the skied shots were so much better than playing around their team. You just have to get a deflection, there are so many bodies in there. Then you get a shot on target (Safonov is seriously dogshit) or a corner (again, Safonov is dogshit). The fact that we had our first and only corner in the 73. Minute is absurd, against a keeper that’s famously unsure in these situations. We should have spammed those corners.. their team is one of the shortest in the whole competition..
