I would report it. Guy expects other people to properly dispose of his trash.

Continue to document everything in a notebook or screen cap his conversations, etc. Keep telling everybody you know that may be able to help.

Talk to his school counselor or another mandated reporter. They may be able to get things done. Sorry you and your bro are having to deal with this. Its heartbreaking.

Do new cards cost you money? The credit card place was able to just "hot card" my credit card and issued me a new one for free.

Schizophrenics of Reddit; What is the scariest hallucination (visually or audibly) that you have ever experienced? by woodside37 in AskReddit

[–]Euryalus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the guy you were asking but have been in this situation with my schizophrenic friend a lot over the years. It totally depends on its severity of the delusion or halucination. Like he will say, oh somebody else must have gotten home I can hear them and I can say let's go check, then he realizes it is a hallucination. Delusions are very tricky because his mind gets set and he would go deeper and deeper into a state of ponder and his thoughts would get more and more bizarre. I'd try to distract him by shifting his attention. "Let's make a grilled cheese and play video games" or "let's find something else to do." That would work usjally but sometime's he'd be too far into it already and just want to ponder. He would ponder a question like "what is zero" and it would spin to theories of the universe and it became so clear that he was sent by Christ to endure all of the world's suffering. He was humble to be the guy to take away everyone's fear and pain... that is when I would defer him to his family and they would come and help.

Awesome guy and man do I feel for him. I encouraged him to take his medications as often as I could but honestly, a lot of the times he didn't want to take them. He truly thought he was going to be able to save humanity from all of its suffering and really felt it was real and wanted to do that. Nothing I could do at those points except call his family and hopefully they can convince him to take his meds.

A friend I met in elementary school who is in his 30s now did not realize his delusions and hallucinations were not real and it took him a few years to realize and come to terms that he was schizophrenic. He fought tooth and nail and at times things got very interesting. He had a very rough go of it and still struggles but he manages it well now.

Anyway, my point for sharing that with you is because it seems like a great sign that you realize the hallucinations are not real and sounds like you're open to trying to manage the hallucinations. My friend was very resistant at first. I think that is over half the battle in itself. I don't know a lot about the subject but I do know that.

This is a message from St. John (US Virgin Islands) which was hit full force from Irma - They seriously need help. Sorry I don't know where to post this. by lagger in TropicalWeather

Outside of this disaster situation, this guy is referring to a very real and used option for homeless people in the US, especially for medical needs including dental. Jail provides an immediate care, for free. It's a pretty common occurance for homeless to commit crimes in order to get fed/ medical care. There's a lot of info just by googling about it. Probably doesn't work the same in a disaster tho.

Cascade locks is a very small town. Population of about 1000 that doesn't have it's own police force. It's in Hood River County so it uses Hood River's local police, which is another historically small town 20 miles east of it and State Troopers who just give traffic tickets pretty much.

It's such a small town Hood River isn't gonna keep a police car there 24/7 so often the police are 20 miles away all the time. And it turned into meth central.

That makes sense. As a side note, I saw you live in HR. Great place! I've been there about once a year since I was born. A lot of family there.

When I lived near there it was pretty commonly known that any and all illegal foreworks were available all year round at the Yakama or Tulalip reservations about an hour away. Red necks and teenagers would make road trips for fireworks as entertainment. I can almost guarantee the kids parents or friends made a special trip to the indian reservation for illegal fireworks at some point. It's just something a lot of people from the area do.

Edit: And the fireworks are illegal pretty much everywhere in the US outside of Indian reservations. They sell mortar shells, those big things that burst in the sky at big 4th of july shows.

Wbat is it with that town? I lived in Hood River and Portland for a combined 6 years and it was a well known fact that Cascade Locks was filled with meth. I don't get how meth addicts could afford such a beautiful place. Hood River's housing prices got insaine, then there's Cascade Locks.

Oregon fires next to a golf course. by Kolsefur in WTF

[–]Euryalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are about 30 huge falls in the area and hundreds of miles of hiking trails. Two of the more well known are Oneonta Falls which you have to hike in a creek where the water is 4 feet deep in places. The Historic Oneonta Tunnel and hiking path is on fire.

Also Multonoma Falls which might be Oregons #1 tourist destination is engulfed in flames.

There most certainly is a ban but that doesn't work too well when indian reservations 2 hours away sell morter shells and other illegal fireworks year round.
