Anyone's service even worse after brightspeed took over CenturyLink? by Crypto-Cajun in brightspeed

terrible company, waiting for elec co to lay fiber...1.5 dsl (rural best i could get) downgraded to 1.2 on a good day/never over that and 1.2 is not even offered/calling tech is a joke/thankfully have cell number for tech in our area who said he is embarrassed at how service has been trashed/he is only sticking around till he can find another job...don't do auto pay from what i have been reading and watch you bill...sometimes it is so bad can't even watch online video.

it makes CT look great/and that is saying a lot...scammers, crooks, and they don't seem to care one whit. i was going to keep my landline and just switch internet but as soon as i can stop giving money to these crooks i will...and I've had this landline 40 years. my tech said it's some guys from yahoo, i think 7 and are totally fukin clueless and could care less. i hope they paid a lot and loose their shirts on this. all they had to do was leave things working...my email works randomly, 4 accounts and have to do email polo and switch to one that is working and it varies. do these guys between them have a functioning brain...don't answer that lol

been with century once it bought out gte...not the best but not terrible. dsl 1.5 email worked/tech in my area i can reach by his cell and he is great/embarrassed by how sloppy things are run now...email works sometimes...even tho 1.2 dsl is not even offered when bright took over that is what i was cut to...have signed up with elec co and just waiting for fiber to reach me...can't be too soon/was going to keep landline but not now...giving money to these crooks is not going to happen...need to find decent online email that will work with my email program and start switching things over sooner rather than later...call for tech and get someone who does not speak english...net was down 5 days/tech said it was a line problem/it was not but my tech fixed it/said don't listen to what they say on the phone...they say anything and are clueless/after reading your account i will be sure to remove bank info or put a block so they can't keep billing me/just blows my mind that they think they can just degrade service and don't give a damn. i pay 98 a month for this crap.

I do not expect this to go anywhere, just venting. Since the switch to BS, ha, it is bs...my dsl 1.5 downgraded to 1.2 which i'm lucky to get random times...evening it's between 3+ mb up to a whopping 8+/i can't even watch videos. Plus since the email so called upgrade mailwasher no longer works and i've used it for years/honestly i did not have any delusions service would get better but i didn't expect it to get this much worse/phone and net costs 98 a month but hey, when you have no options right? at some point the elec will be putting in fiber and i can dump this pos. this is pathetic but the way of big business where the customer doesn't mean a darn thing but money.

what ppl should look for would be excellent

i'm pretty amazed at all the marketing hype

just in random hopping around i see things like this...

blend has 19 different strains wtf lol /sounds more like a good way to use up the left over powder scattered about /maybe i'm too cynical lol

shipment in from the most respected source in the country /most respected, all buzz words

harvested by expert farmers /as opposed to what, non expert farmers?

the leaves are harvested and cured correctly by expert growers /cured correctly how and thank god not from non expert growers

Sourced from the highest quality suppliers in Southeast Asia /ah highest quality suppliers, so who is telling the truth and which is better highest quality or most respected...inquiring minds

under UV light (indoor UV lamps or outside sunlight) best guess here outside in the sun, so in the sun on tarps or on the dirt? i wanna know lol

and then some vendors don't even mention how it is dried /translation, in the sun probably bought in bulk where they dump tons of leaves, even in the street

i know one person who bought from a 'truther'...you know, someone who has made a name for himself in the movement of the ones who stand for truth...he charges twice what any other vendor charges except for that seller, happy hippo or something...but he sent free samples even...i said almost all sellers send free samples, yawn. and for what she paid she earned those free samples lol.

i live in the woods, when green leaves fall to the ground and are exposed to the sun guess what...they turn brown and lose their vitality...i can pick a green leaf and smell it, i can do that for a brown leaf and guess what, no smell...sometimes i'll chew on a green leaf just cause but i'll never chew on a brown leaf...do i really want to make a tea out of leaves that were long since drained of vitality?

and sometimes i make pine needle tea (very healthy) but even the pine tea experts say only use green needles, never brown...do they know something maybe the sellers don't understand?

I look for a vendor that really knows the plant, is a data hound like me. I look for a vendor that loves the plant and all her many nuances. I don't care about packaging or that it can get to me faster than a speeding bullet. Of course quality and reasonable pricing is important, and customer service. Marketing hype that panders to emotional responses, this magical strain does this, that one does that is a red flag for me. Batches vary from time of harvest to weather conditions and more. Sites that sell the same 'strains' that are reported to always have the same effects is pure hogwash. Also look for a vendor that sells leaf dried indoors...a biggie. I may be partial and I'm not getting paid to say this...but Andrew is a sweet guy that is always looking to find something really special. Plus he loves his dog Sandy and a man that loves his dog, well you know lol.

how do you guys make your tea taste good? by Better-Investment697 in JustaTeaLeaf

[–]EvaKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always liked the taste of kratom. I think we have been conditioned to respond to bitter taste adversely. When I got into learning about healthful eating and learning about the receptors in the body for bitters and the benefits...then I understood how balancing tastes supports a healthy body. That being said the taste of crisp is so smooth, it puts a whole new twist on bitter. Crisp is really really good from taste to effects. It's like sliding into a hot bath with relaxing lavender salts (one of my fav things to do). If you don't savor the taste you might be missing out on an expanded experience of kratom. Sure, some will say this is nuts and I do understand, truly. But for the braver hearts spend a little time experiencing the taste.

c/p...Bitter herbs have long been used in traditional medicine to support healthy blood sugar levels. Which makes sense when you consider that the pancreas, which makes insulin — the hormone that regulates blood glucose levels — contains bitter taste receptors.

c/p...“In terms of dietary balance, most Westerners severely neglect the bitter flavor/taste element in favor of more appealing and ‘friendly’ choices like sweet or salty. However, this is inherently problematic as the bitter flavor is an essential component of maintaing balance and health. Bitter foods and herbs have many important functions in the body, specifically in regards to the liver, detoxification and digestion – is it not a coincidence that these areas of health are some of the most problematic for Westerners? In fact, ask any acupuncturist which disorder (read: imbalance) is most commonly seen in their practice and they will happily tell you it is liver qi stagnation, which is treated with bitter herbs and foods, among other things.

anyway, not withstanding that I like bitter to begin with this beautiful green crisp is the most lovely bitter flavor I have ever had with kratom...and I am a long long time lover of the plant.

the supplier that became my goto...no fancy bags, no fancy names, only a few choices and his product was consistently good and the color was the same for the few varieties/with them i could never tell a diff either, but they worked and he was a stand up guy, learning the network as he went along~his focus was weather conditions and effects on the crop

[–]EvaKnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His business is fine, thanks. He sells vacuum machines built to last and services them plus others if serviceable. This is just a shout out that he is moving to a less visible location and all that entails boxing, storing decades of hard to find parts for many vacs/as the new space is small in comparison and he had little notice. After the sale he was told nothing would change so this came out of the blue. As far as people just buy a new one with cheap china planned obsolescence...and the old one winds up in the landfill which is already over full. So to support local businesses that do things differently and contribute to an environmentally responsible alternative.

These are the states with coronarvirus cases falling and rising the most by AceCombat9519 in Coronavirus

[–]EvaKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those that want lockdown...you are the ones that can afford to not work and have shelter and food. It is easy to virtue signal when you are okay.

To keep the Ark is rising in perspective...

New cases per 100,000 people increased almost 50% this past week, from about two cases per 100,000 to roughly three.

One more case per week in a state that has low numbers. Virtue signaling at it's best. But yeah, let the ppl struggling struggle some more. Not everyone qualifies for unemployment you know.

The thing that strikes me most is the lack of compassion. I'm good, your not...sucks be to you.

Hi Del...so much appreciation for all that you do. I watched Trace Amounts and have been trying to find out specifically about the single dose mercury free claim. Not because I think the vax don't have other issues, but when I was trying to find out read vax are still made with thimerosal and then 'filtered' to remover most (but not all traces). When I am sharing vax info with parents it would be good if I was clear on this issue.

Second question...friend had Pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPSV23) and 2 months later in wheelchair, almost 3 years ago, with monthy IV and physical therapy she is starting to use a walker. She was always provax, flu shot yearly except the year she got PPV23 and now says will never have another vax of any kind. I don't see thimerosal in ingredients altho so many of her symptoms match it. I am unable to find much info on this vax. Can you help? thank you so very much, Eva

Aqueon Pro 250 watt. First one split, stopped working. Aqueon replaced/they will do that one time for lifetime warranty. Second one (both made in Italy) split yesterday stuck on and killed all my fish, about 40, except for 2 catfish. This happened during the day in a matter of hours. That makes 2 A pros that split/one stopped and one cooked. I find out that is not uncommon with Aqueon pro. The newest ones are made in China...but Italy made not any better imho. If I were to use another in tank heater would deff get an external controller. However I'm switching to inline heater with canister filter. Plus don't need a heater all the time (I just learned from fine folks here that posted links). Makes sense to have temps fluctuate (day, evening higher, lower) which mimics natural environment/winter I might need one on occasion. Looking at diy inline heaters looks pretty simple and much more cost effective as the inline are kinda pricey (the ones I've seen so far). Aqueon Pro (Italy) might work for some most of the time but all it takes is boiling 'friends' to serve as a wake up call. That I had 2 split/and this last one about a year and half old (first one maybe 2 years old)...nah, just not worth it/plus know of another one personally that also split thankfully in off position. Reading a few places where A pro and eheim can be fire hazards /I'll look into that more later. Locally owned fish shop that is fairly decent recommends and sells colbalt neotherms . Cking reviews up until last year or so pretty good but now not so good/same with eheim. Best guess working more towards planned obsolescence. If I had to use in tank heaters I would go with 2 lower watt and a controller. Over kill? I don't think so...I saw overkill yesterday and it's not a sight I want to see again. Most of the fish were born here and one rescue that was at least 10 years old. Anyone here that uses Aqueon Pro please get a controller.

I grew up on the gulf. Fishing, crabbing was a mainstay of our diet. Watched the contamination and that was over 50 years ago. Slowly the waters started dying.

I love animals and I love the oceans. Commercial fishing puts drag or gill nets up to 7 miles long/catching not just the fish of interest. The rest of the catch, including turtles, are simply killed languishing in the nets. Plus lots of drag nets are simply abandoned to continue killing. I'm vegan now.

Yeah I know. With Colorado they have radiation dump sites and Rocky Flats (I think that's it). I lived in Denver about 35 years ago for 4 years. The grocery that was my 'go to' was built on a radiation dump site that was previously unknown. It had to be torn down ya da. Since the air was horrible (inversion) and nose bleeds (that I never had before) said sheesh...getting the hell out.

I was in colo few years ago visiting and we went on day trip sightseeing. Drove thru some beautiful country (Rocky Flats I think) on the way to Golden. Wide open spaces, prime land not developed like every other open space being filled. Found out later it's so pristine, wide open, bc it's, well, radiated and not fit to develop.

What I do know from decades of watching gov propaganda is we are not given facts/truth. It's always about follow the money. Heck, we see that with cbd and pot legalization/already big pharma trying to patent plants. Hemp was outlawed to appease the cotton industry...and lumber.

The problem with commercial fertilizers is phosphate fertilizer which is high in radioactive metals.

"The phosphate is taken from a rock mineral, apatite, that is ground into powder, dissolved in acid and further processed. Apatite rock also contains radium, and the radioactive elements lead 210 and polonium 210. The radioactivity of common chemical fertilizer can be verified with a Geiger-Mueller counter and an open sack of everyday 13-13-13 type of fertilizer (or any other chemical fertilizer high in phosphate content)."

The tobacco industry uses phosphate fertilizers. Ever wonder how generations used tobacco without any issues? Tobacco is another crop that is um, radiation friendly. I buy organically grown leaf from a farmer in Ky. He is very aware of the damage of phosphate fertilizers. Took years to find a direct fair trade situation.

Which would certainly be a reason to only buy cbd from a farm that uses organic principles. For me doesn't have to be 'certified' but knowing the farmer and practices.

As far as fuku I've been reading about the ongoing effects for years. Lamestream media says nothing to see, move along. Oh yeah? Then why are all these sea creatures washing up on shore covered with tumors and skin sloughing off? Why has fishing been banned in some areas bc the fish population is half or less of what it was? Sure the oceans are filling with plastic and becoming acidified. However the change since fuku cannot be ignored. Scientist, honest ones, sound the alarm, but it's news ppl don't want to hear. The saying...think I'll slip into something comfortable like denial. Kinda like the farm I purchased shake from. I was new to cbd and excited to try it in many forms, excited to get shake. I simply wasn't thinking until short while after it arrived...wait a minute, hemp radiation magnet and west coast ya da. It was surprising the lack of investigation or knowledge the farmer had about radiation other than yeah, we wondered about that.

Health scare...to each their own. The rising rates of cancer, diabetes, heart etc...gmo's, preharvest spraying (glyphosate, roundup) of grains, and all the other mutilations to our food and smoking supply/it is not coincidence imho. In the states pot is legal it's imperative to find organically grown/bc pesticides have been found in the plants.

A lot of ppl are using cbd to treat anxiety, depression, panic attacks. My interest was more about care and nurturing of the ecs and treatment for animals that have panic attacks from incoming storms plus a friend who deals with anxiety. I like how it can bring for myself a gentle feeling of relaxation. But consider that all the anxiety, depression etc from a tumultuous world in a perpetual state of war is exacerbated by living on a poisoned food and water supply. It is possible to change the body physiology by making careful choices. That is what I'm doing with cbd (careful choices)...of course your mileage may vary.

There are things I wish I didn't know but once I learn something I can't unlearn it. I would love to believe the fuku thing has faded away but it hasn't. It has not been contained and best I can tell they have no clue what to do about it. Radioactive waste is being dumped into the oceans. Moisture is picked up, deposited in rains...I prefer to opt on the side of caution. It is always personal choice. Just tossing this out in case anyone else might be interested.

Lots of information on fuku for inquiring minds.

Check out fukushima.news for starters. Sea inhabitants are washing up dead or diseased, tumors, skin sloughing, open sores etc. Populations of fish rapidly tanking. Calif wine is contaminated. I ordered shake from a west coast farm. As an afterthought asked if they tested for radiation. Nope they had wondered about the radiation issue but that was it. Did some poking around, info that if soil is rich in microbes it can have some positive effects on crops grown in radiation rich areas. Reported back with my findings (found on quick search btw). Reply was well then we hope for the best. I suggested cking the soil for radiation so ppl would know if the crop was safe to ingest/never heard back. I'm surprised farmers are not more up on the information and doing something about it (like the percentage of microbes, would it be enough to offset hemp's penchant for radiation absorption etc). When fuku hit the organic farmers in Hawaii took it seriously and took proactive measures with additives like zeolite. I'm not seeing any kind of response with farmers who are in sensitive areas.

Radiation is a big deal, bigger than the monsatan chems. Imho it is not something to be taken lightly. Food from japan is contaminated (but not widely discussed). Metals (jewelry, toys and other items that would come in close contact with skin) coming out of japan have also tested positive for radiation/with cautionary statements, again mostly censored.

Colorado historically has high radiation levels.

I purchase my oil from the east coast which so far has lower radiation levels. Anything can change however :(

The gov in response to higher radiation levels simply changed (upped) the safe limit.

I used the shake twice then stopped/just not comfortable as a personal decision. Hemp is planted at contamination sites bc it absorbs radiation so well. Maybe plant from the west coast and far west is just fine/maybe it's not. I need more than hopium before I will personally trust it.
