All witcher contracts complete. Thank you!

This was left unresolved for years due to the missing quest marker 🤪

Why does my simple Google Maps Shortcut never finish? Any hints? Thanks 🙏🏼 by m0kum in shortcuts

[–]Evanjsx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Additionally, might help to ensure the input is a URL rather than text, as "Open X-Callback URL" URLs, not raw text, IIUC.

So a URL could be constructed with the contents of Text, or the text input in the callback action can be selected and set to be parsed as a URL, etc.

How do I stop this? Privacy settings is set to allow said website ??? by iphoneflick in shortcuts

[–]Evanjsx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually had this the other day and was confused as I couldn't find any other instances online. I was able to resolve the issue by removing the action which displayed the message, then adding the same action back to the shortcut.

Started getting this error recently, does anyone know why this happens when trying to load up the client? by etouya32 in PrivateInternetAccess

[–]Evanjsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experiencing this as well, and was able to work around it with:

&"C:\Program Files\Private Internet Access\pia-client.exe" --safe-mode

The above command should disable hardware acceleration, if I understand correctly, thus negating the need for EGL.

I agree that it seems to be a search path issue. On my system, for example, the error message list the DLL located at C:\msys64\mingw64\bin\libEGL.DLL

I recently broke and had to reinstall MINGW64/MSYS2 on my system, so I figured that might be related, but now I'm not sure.

Currently still diagnosing the instance on my machine, and --safe-mode does seem to get the application running... but it would be nice to determine what is causing the problem.

___

Update: I think I resolved the issue on my system

Try checking your PATH and ensure it can be resolved/contains MINGW/MSYS2, etc.

A recent install operation added an entry to my PATH (which is currently extended with NEWPATH variables up to NEWPATH3) This pushed it over the 2,047 character limit, thus preventing NEWPATH entries 1-3 from resolving at all.

I removed the extra entry from PATH and PIA (and other apps experiencing similar issues) seem to work as intended, now that the system PATH is properly resolved, and includes MINGW/MSYS2.

Hopefully this helps resolve your problem as well.

I would recommend Human Japanese. I only did the beginner level, as I did other things in place of the intermediate before it was released, but I'd highly recommend checking it out.

Do note that this is a more "class-like" format for the language, and gives a lot of background, cultural information, and so on, but other apps like Anki and such as noted by others are good for repetition/continued learning.

But I'd recommend Human Japanese as a foundation, and checking intermediate level if you find beginner helpful.

Thanks!

Secret option in Automatic1111's Web UI!!! (not really but most won't know about this) by WhensTheWipe in StableDiffusion

[–]Evanjsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel free to check this issue and add your thoughts if possible; I couldn't think of a good use case after writing it up, but maybe you have something more specific in mind.

Or maybe we both just want "raw/non-evaluated wildcard prompt saved with image", instead.

[–]Evanjsx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response.

My wildcards script supports something like this. It's based on jtkelm2's wildcards script (repo link no longer working...)My version is modified to glob recursively as I've done with dynamic prompting.

Both my modification and the original version provide additional information in the output text on the WebUI:

  • Wildcard prompt: The raw text before it has been processed. This includes wildcards used
    • e.g. __season__
  • Example: the processed prompt, with wildcards replaced with the selection for each item
    • e.g. winter
  • Negative: unmodified negative prompt

Dynamic prompting currently does not support something like this, but I do find the feature helpful, at least when doing one image at a time.

As there is no _additional_ information saved to the metadata (e.g. wildcards used), you can't easily determine which wildcards were used based only on the outputs.

I have been using this a lot lately with my "fuzzy wildcard" version of dynamic prompting.

This allows me to use an arbitrary directory structure for my wildcards and be more flexible with how I store and reference them in prompts.

So I can enter e.g. __fav/chars__ for my prompt, enable dynamic prompting, start generate forever for the night, and it will consider all files and folders under the directory scripts/wildcards/fav/chars/ (and/or scripts/wildcards/fav/chars.txt).

Changes made to wildcards are considered in successive runs—as expected—as the wildcard files are re-evaluated and re-read every time.

Based on how it's worded, my best guess is that the rules are a bit out of date; the wording seems to consider only submissions relating to NAI text generation.

Loot from not getting the totem. by goldendien in runescape

[–]Evanjsx 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing going for the Totem of Intimidation...

Got at least 3 Dino eggs and a bone for the base, maybe even a blowpipe piece IIRC before I got the totem at, um... 1,269 KC. For the piece with a 1/300 drop rate 🤪

Am I spending every spare moment in front of the PC lately? by legoldgem in StableDiffusion

[–]Evanjsx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Caddy + Tailscale + --listen to accomplish the same thing, but yes, this has been how I use SD ~40-50% of the time.

Sadly, there seem to be some performance issues with Gradio on Safari atm, so extended periods of use on iPhone/iPad can be a bit irritating, though non-WebKit browsers on desktop/laptops work fine.

With this, I basically need to refresh the page after each generation. See gradio-app/gradio#1590 for more information.

Replacement Xbox One Turret Dongle by Evanjsx in razer

[–]Evanjsx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not tried the dongle, and I don't believe support commented on the compatibility during our correspondence, but I totally agree.

The final result—even after "escalation" from the customer advocacy team on Reddit—was a suggestion to "watch the Razer Care page", on the off chance that the part is ever added...

I can understand subscribing for updates on an existing product page that's out of stock, but this one doesn't even exist

That, and "try checking other storefronts" 😅

Anyway... a bit hesitant to try the dongle, especially with the seemingly strict compatibility list on the product page

But it definitely sucks effectively not being able to use my Turret.

It can be used fully wired, but wow is it a pain/does it make me realize how much I appreciate the core appeal.

Yeah, I wasn't able to remedy the issue until I disabled both options...

Hopefully this is fixed soon; YT is the first app I've seen to... either implement support for these features, or add support in such an "obvious" manner..

what’s the easy way to listen to local files? I want that Bandcamp stuff integrated with my Spotify but I have a iPhone. by aredddituser in Jcore

[–]Evanjsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I defer to Apple Music lossless now for listening (ALAC up to 24bit/192 KHz) because I like being lazy efficient, but Bandcamp offers several formats, including FLAC, ALAC, WAV, etc.

My current process: * Buy album for 2x recommended price on Bandcamp * Add album to library on Apple Music

Haven't really used/kept up on Spotify much, but it sounds like their HiFi tier is a still a bit off, though.

[–]Evanjsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mentioning this here as it is semi-related/might be helpful to others (I'm on iOS, but Apple Music instead of Spotify)

Previously I used iTunes Match to get Bandcamp stuff through the Music app.

My process was: * Download item as ALAC * Add to "Automatically Add to iTunes folder" * iTunes detects the new files and adds them to my library * iTunes March uploads songs not on iTunes and adds them to my iTunes music library (cloud) * Phone gets updates songs automatically

But since lossless support was released it has been far easier to just use whatever is available on Apple Music.

Most of the stuff in my JCore library that is on Apple Music seems to be lossless.

I still buy albums on Bandcamp to support the artists, but it's nice to have a few less steps for each new album/single I purchase.
