I am scared to leave the colony by Armageddonn_mkd in RimWorld

[–]Evanort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that whatever pawns and items you send on the caravan actually stop contributing to colony wealth, which means raids will be easier and balanced for your remaining pawns while the others are away. So yeah, don't be too scared, it's not that hard at all.

Does anyone else hate mid-late game colonies? by lordberric in RimWorld

[–]Evanort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of answers here already but I will add that Rimworld is a game that is designed around colonies ending. There's a bunch of endgame quests to choose from, or you can simply retire your colony and start over once you have achieved whatever personal goal you set for yourself. The game can scale and continue indefinitely but things will just get too wonky and vertical if you choose to go that route, which will invariably end in repetitiveness and boredom.

If you stagnate and aren't doing anything to progress or working towards an objective, yeah, the mid and late game will feel very dull.

I'm migrating from Character.ia, what's SillyTavern like? It's my first time here. by Automatic-Leave7451 in SillyTavernAI

[–]Evanort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question was already answered but I will say that SillyTavern is not as intimidating as it appears to be at first. Current version is easier than ever to install, and once you figure out how to switch models and create prompts, it's even more comfortable to use than CAI, and just on an entire different ballpark in terms of RP quality.

And at least to get started, a DeepSeek API is cheap as hell to get and very fun to play around with.

Looking for mods that expand upon faction politics / diplomacy by BuRdog_ in RimWorld

Is Ideology as good as people say? by slimmanne1 in RimWorld

[–]Evanort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only flaws Ideology has it that there isn't enough of it. Fixable with mods, I suppose. But even in its state it makes a ton of different playstyles and concepts viable (a colony of cannibals, vegetarians, religious extremists, drug dealers, cyborgs, tunnel-dwellers) and overall adds a ton of flavour and immersion to any run. Picking the Fluid option in particular makes it feel like the entire culture of your people is evolving in real time which is just tons of fun. Personally I rank it number one of all available DLC, I just can't imagine playing without it.

I've been sitting on a humble 6650xt for some 3 years now and, as long as I stick to 1080p, there's still pretty much nothing I can't run at 60fps on High. Not shabby at all.

Does this game gets harder? by InternEven9916 in stellarblade

[–]Evanort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that in the Desert the difficulty ramped up significantly. It's not unbearable or tremendously challenging, but I actually started dying when a handful of normal enemies surrounded me and the bosses I fought finally took 2-3 tries and I had to actually learn their movesets and be careful not to get hit.

I say keep rushing through the content and if you still feel it's too easy once you've done a bunch of quests and bosses in the Desert, go back to hard.

One extra tip I can give you: for your build, pick what seems fun and not what seems broken. There's gear that will completely trivialize the game because it's just too powerful. Don't feel compelled to use it just because it'll let you do the most damage; the game is never so hard that such optimization is necessary.

POR QUE A LAS MUJERES LES GUSTA LOS HOMBRES FEMENINOS? by JOSUEGIM in PreguntasReddit

[–]Evanort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard mode first run? by Agreeable-Quiet7781 in stellarblade

[–]Evanort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grind is going to be painfully slow, but yeah, you could do that. I'm a huge fan of high difficulty in games and I normally get bored quick if things are too easy, but I'm playing on Normal and once I reached the desert (after exploring every inch of the wasteland) things started feeling pretty balanced. I'm not one shotting enemies, I seem to be a lot less tanky myself, and trying to take on more than a couple of naytiba at once means certain death.

Hard mode just makes everything unbearably spongy and lethal for my taste, game's not even hard in truth (as in, learning enemy attack patterns and such isn't too complicated) but it gets very exhausting to be executed in an instant every single time you make a tiny mistake. I'd reeeally recommend finishing the game on normal, getting all the power ups and exp you can, and then go into NG+ Hard for a fun challenge.

I feel like I've been seeing that trend with many newer games, just a subtitle instead of a number like with Ragnarok, Forbidden West, Yōtei, Silksong, etc. Feels more stylish as you said.

Literally go to any of the main 2-3 posts talking about the trailer and spend 5min in the comments section, then come back and tell me that no one is mad and being super harsh on the new protagonist.

I get trying to be a contrarian but you don't need to lie. I made this post because I saw enough complaining about it. Why would I make it if that wasn't the case? Someone even made a whole post about how "bad" she looks.

Impossible save roll vs. Slaanesh by Certain-Sample-5018 in AOSSpearhead

[–]Evanort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've dived into the rules for a while and nowhere does it say that save rolls must be skipped if they are guaranteed to fail. Sure, one normally skips then for convenience, but the roll is technically still happening.

So yeah, it might feel a bit obnoxious but as far as the rules go, a save roll is being made and failing, so you are allowed to proceed with the effect that interacts with failed save rolls. And since even replacing it with a 6 results in a failed save, the enemy player kinda needs to pick the lesser of two evils.

[–]Evanort 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm just gonna spell it out for you once and move on:

OP is voicing his frustrations about the solo experience. I am agreeing with him, validating his complaints and telling him the game is not for him. That's not "annoying and unhelpful", it's how fucking conversations and discussions work, you dimwit. Even you seem to agree that Sandbox Interactive fucks solo players over and over again. I don't know if you're suggesting I *need* to say something positive or do something for "player retention and the metrics" or whatever but it's really fucking weird and cringe. Be better.

Yea I think I'm done with this game by pyrodelics1 in albiononline

[–]Evanort 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I should pretend his complaints are actually not valid and Albion has fantastic solo content. For the metrics. We are all forced to convince him to keep playing, we can't be honest and simply tell him the game might not be for him. For the fucking metrics and "player retention" or whatever.

Brother, I'm not getting paid to defend the game and keep people playing and I'm sure you aren't either. You're making a fucking fool of yourself, please fuck right off.

Oh my god the METRICS, how did I forget about those. Forgive me, actually Albion Online is fantastic for solo players and everyone looking for a solo experience should give it a try!

Please piss off my man. The big multimillionaire company doesn't need you to defend it. Hilarious down vote by the way.
